@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Games, changes and fears
When will they go from here?
When will they stop?
I believe that fate
Has brought us here
And we should be together, babe
But we're not
And I play it off
But I'm dreamin' of you
And I'll keep my cool
But I'm fiendin'
I try to say goodbye and I choke
I try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear:
My world crumbles when you are not near
Goodbye and I choke
I try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear:
My world crumbles when you are not near
I may appear to be free
But I'm just a prisoner
Of your love
And I may seem alright
And smile when you leave
But my smiles are just a front
Just a front
Hey!
And I play it off
But I'm dreamin' of you
And I'll keep my cool
But I'm fiendin'
I try to say goodbye and I choke
I try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear:
My world crumbles when you are not near
Here is my confession:
May I be your possession?
Boy, I need your touch
Your love, kisses and such
With all my might, I try
But this I can't deny
And I play it off, but I'm
But I'm dreamin' of you, and
I'll keep my cool, but I'm
Fiendin'
I try to say good bye and I choke, yeah
Oh, I try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear:
My world crumbles when you are not near
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
When will they go from here?
When will they stop?
I believe that fate
Has brought us here
And we should be together, babe
But we're not
And I play it off
But I'm dreamin' of you
And I'll keep my cool
But I'm fiendin'

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

"Zombie" is about the ethno-political conflict in Ireland. This is obvious if you know anything of the singer (Dolores O'Riordan)'s Irish heritage and understood the "1916" Easter Rising reference.
"Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence caused such silence
Who are we mistaken
-
Another mother's breaking
Heart is taking over"
Laments the Warrington bomb attacks in which two children were fatally injured on March 23rd, 1993. Twelve year old Tim Parry was taken off life support with permission from his mother after five days in the hospital, virtually braindead.
"But you see it's not me
It's not my family"
References how people who are not directly involved with the violence feel about it. They are "zombies" without sympathy who refuse to take action while others suffer.
Bottling your feelings and pretending that you're feeling fine.
This song always makes me cry- but not because of a relationship break-up.
For me it reminds me of how my heart got broken...by the people I called my friends.

People find her annoying and keep paying her out BUT WHY ARE YOU ON HER LYRICS?
From the song, it's obvious she loves the man, but can't be with him. A dear male friend shared this song with me. I was married but he wasn't. I cherish this song because he often said "I try like Macy Gray." I believe he was trying so hard to tell me how he feels . . . "I believe that fate has brought us here and we should be together babe, but we're not." It means so much to me. I know he loves me, but I don't think he knows how much I love him. It's been a couple of years and "my world crumbles when you are not near."
This song is about drug addiction.
Love the song and the multiple ways of looking at it but I see it as...
“I believe that fate has brought us here And we should be together, babe But we're not”
“I try to say goodbye and I choke I try to walk away and I stumble Though I try to hide it, it's clear: My world crumbles when you are not near”
Basically she is in love with someone whom she most defiantly has a past with; that may or may not have halted negatively. It seems that she had her dead bolt locked in fear of getting hurt or what ever the case must be again but she uses these lyrics and this song to tell the person, that she wouldn’t like anything more then to try it again. So she is basically ready to stop using her dead lock because it is safe and she is ready to open up to this person again.
Wow ok to me this song is clearly not about a breakup, It's about being a pussy with a guy or girl you really really like but are only kinda decent friends with. Lyrically, it's closer to Taylor Swift's Teardrops on My Guitar than Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby.
There is absolutely nothing in this song that suggests the singer and the guy she's singing to were ever together.
No, this song is about hiding your feelings for someone, and how frustrating it is dealing with it. I can definitely relate.
ds song is sumwat 'putting up a front' despite all the longing u feel for dat sum1 who has 2 leave u... to pretend that it really doesn't matter,, but somehow u knw that you're gonna miss somethin! :-/
This song is very simple at first glance but there is so much that you just don't see. It is a song that you have to think about.
This should be my theme song for my relationship. I put up this front for some odd reason and try to hide my feelings. This song is absolutely me.
