King Kill 33 Lyrics

Is this what you wanted?
This is what you get.
Turned all your lives into this shit.
You never accepted or treated me fair
blame me for what I believe
and I wear.
You fucked yourselves and you
raised these sheep
the blue and the withered seeds
you will reap.
You never gave me a chance to be me
Or even a fucking chance just to be.
But I have to show you that
you played a role
and I will destroy you with one simple hole.
The world that hates me has taken its toll
but now I have finally taken control.
You wanted so bad to make me this thing
and I want you now to just kill the king

and I am not sorry, and I am not sorry
this is what you deserve
and I am not sorry, and I am not sorry
this is what you deserve
and I am not sorry, and I am not sorry
this is what you deserve

In my opinion, this song strikes out at those who try to hard to force a set of values on the young. Often parents, teachers, and various other authority figures overteach certain things, thinking that they're helping children but actually causing an opposite effect. This treatment changes someone for the worse, in turn creating what the authority figure will end up calling a "monster", without admitting that they're responsible for it's creation and for having a negative effect on others.

I'm tired.

This song does seem to be about Columbine, but the title is another JFK reference. "Kill King 33 Degrees" The king being JFK and 33 degrees being the line of latitude nearest Dallas Texas (10 miles north), where Kennedy was assassinated. He was also the 33rd president.

Finally a couple people are getting close. Yes king kill 33 is referencing the 33rd degree of freemasonry (To be one ask one) but people need to analyze this stuff a little further. Look at a street layout of Washington D.C. The June 2004 issue of National Geographic has a gret one. Anyway if you look at the lines(walkways) connecting to it(the ones between the capitol building and the great big obelisk called the monument) they make one of masonrys main symbols the compass. And on top of the Capitol is the undeniable image of an owl. Read my response to the song KINDERFELD for that reference, because this stuff goes back a wee bit further than Masonry.(At least American Masonry) ALSO I find the repeated reference to Columbine amusing. The FRENCH word for DOVE is COLUMBE which is the root of many words like COLUMBIS, COLUMBINE, (DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA) Let me ask you this MANSON fan, who gave America the statue of liberty? Is Michael Moore the only reason people are associating Manson with Columbine? The answer is No(Know). Please refer to my response to Great Big White World For further clarity in this matter.

I agree with all of you, great comments. I'd like to just add one more meaning since I believe Manson has a thing for multilayer meanings. 33 is the most important and influential number in numerology, in which Manson takes an interest, together with Tarot. 33 symbolises the Master Teacher. Jesus didn't actually live 33 years, but the number is used to symbolize Him. 33 is also the number of vertebrae in our spine. So manson may very well be referring to Jesus, King of Kings, the Master Teacher, 33.

Sounds like you hit that one right on. Though it can apply to more than just the young...

That analysis also fits the whole Columbine tradgedy thing, in that he was not responsible for the tradgedy, but blamed in any case. It's funny, in my opinion, that he's still blamed even when it has been found that the shooters were not Manson fans...anyway, it all comes back to the fact that society as a whole makes the monsters.

Then again, he may be referring to himself. He was forced to attend a Catholic school for his earlier years, which he came to resent greatly.

This song is obviously related to the JFK incident for the chorus part, but besides that I think the song carried a whole other meaning. It seems to be Marilyn Manson himself crying out for the idiots who see him as something conpletely different than what he is and when they find out who he is they'll be fucked over because they thought so differently before. They "raise their own sheep", they will "reap their own seeds"...

Pelvis Thrust, Kennedy wasn't the 33rd president, Harry Truman was. Kennedy was 35th.

I heard this was about Columbine.
