Moi... Lolita Lyrics

Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Lo ou bien Lola
Du pareil au même
Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Quand je rêve aux loups
C'est Lola qui saigne
Quand fourche ma langue
J'ai là un fou rire
Aussi fou qu'un phénomène
Je m'appelle Lolita
Lo de vie, lo aux amours diluviennes

{Refrain:}
C'est pas ma faute
Et quand je donne ma langue au chat
Je vois les autres
Tout prêts à se jeter sur moi
C'est pas ma faute à moi
Si j'entends tout autour de moi
Hello, helli, t'es A (L.O.L.I.T.A.)
Moi Lolita

Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Collégienne aux bas
Bleus de méthylène
Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Coléreuse et pas
Mi-coton, mi-laine
Motus et bouche qui n'dit pas
A maman que je
Suis un phénomène
Je m'appelle Lolita
Lo de vie, lo aux amours diluviennes

It doesn't make "no" sense. It's about lolita, the book and movie by Kubrik. She is a little temptress, and temps males though she is young (not as dramatically young as the real story though). There are lots of ambigious references in there like "when they spurt on me" and such.

Um.. only movie is by Kubrik, the book is by Vladimir Nabokov.

I am called Lolita Lo or Lola is fine Both are the same to me I am called Lolita When I dream of wolves It is Lola that bleeds When my tongue is forked I have a mad laugh about it Also mad for a phenomenon I am called Lolita Lo to life, lo to 'diluven' love

It is not my fault When I hesitate to reply I see the others All ready to pounce on me It is not MY fault Hello, Helli, you're A (this phrase in french also spells out the word Lolita) Me Lolita

I am called Lolita The worst schoolgirl Mythelene Blue Me, I am called Lolita Quick-tempered and not Mid-cotton, mid-wool I dont tell mama that I am a phenomenon I am called Lolita Lo to life, lo to 'diluven' love

In the video, she's running down the road when a man manages to catch her (he appears to be her boyfriend), he talks to her a bit, then she asks for some money. He gives her the money, then she says 'I'll pay you back' or something like that and runs away.

She runs home where her mother and I'm quessing her younger sister are washing clothes in their back yard. The mother talks to her a bit, then suddenly explodes and starts screaming and throwing stuff around (Lolita didnt say anything, but I cant hear the dialogue over the music). Lolita grabs her sister and is later seen running through a weat field. They arrive at a club and Lolita goes into the back room to put on make up before she comes back out and dances with the rest of the crowd. Her sister is just standing their the entire time watching her (she also starts dancing a bit at the end). Her boyfriend comes in and walks up behind her, and she doesnt seem to mind this at all, despite the fact that they didnt seem to be on good terms at the beginning. At the end of the video, she's shown walking down the road with her sister with her boyfriend walking like 10-20 ft behind them.

The man is trying to catch her because he wants to know if she loves him, as he loves her. She asks him for 200 Francs, he gladly gives it to her. She then says, "You'll get this back some time." But he tells her that it didn't matter to him, she could keep it.

Her mother is questioning her on where she's been and telling her that she is dressed way too lightly, or as her mother (in the video) says, "You're dressed like a whore". Before they completely cut off, her mother is calling her a...

this song is great. and Alizee is cute as hell! there must be something in the water in Corsica. it's the same part of the world that gave us Laetitia Casta!

it's ashame artists like this don't have a chance in the States because of the language barrier. shakira has been popular in Latin America for years, but it took her to sing a song in English before the mainstream took notice!

BTW: this song is about a relationship with an underage mistress.

I'm singing it all the time. Mum is a little frustrated about that, because she doesn't know ANY french. I can translate it to her but I guess I wouldn't be allowed to sing it after that...beause...hrrmm! I'm only 14...

FRENCH MMMM

What the hell Jango? Where does it say anything about spurting on me? I speak French fluently, I can assure you that the song says no such thing.

It's a double entendre. you could translate "jeter" as "pounce" or "spurt" (i.e cum), either way they both alude to older men wanteing to fuck her. The singer who wrote this song, Mylene Farmer is quite famous for dirty word play.

@AgentGabbit I think it's 'jeter' vs the slang term 'juter' (to cum) which sounds similar enough that you can't quite make out what is sung. Another famous example of this trick is Jimi Hendrix's 'scuse me while I kiss - the sky / this guy - "
