This song is quite possibly the best song on the "nasty little thoughts" CD...the lyrics are awesome!! the lyrics "and then you save me" make this song everything that it is...AMAZING! "A scarlet sky, a silver moon is a veil before my eyes" is another amazing line in the song

Ahhh I loooooove this song... I understand it, I think, and that's maybe why I love it so much. Have you ever met someone that just gets you so completely that you feel like you're under a microscope all the time? It's really difficult, but at the same time you love that someone can see so deeply into your soul, they can see right through you, but it's really scary and you feel kind of... naked. It's vulnerability, I think, and it's a gorgeous song.
Very good points, and i have always loved this song for its beauty and romance, yet being so morbid at the same time. it reminds me of the thrice song "in years to come". the message is opposite, but just using such in depth lyrics to explain pure emotions...makes the song that much more beautiful. i've felt this way before, feeling such a deep love for someone, but after all they have done to you, it just feels like they have taken advantage of how strongly you feel for them. it is vulnerablity, you are right youwantedahero.
i really love this song it has helped me get through a lot of tough times i think it is about someone constantly hurting you and killing you and you just seem to keep going back and getting the punishment
To be honest, i think this song is about a girl that he sees as too good for him, or she sees it that way. he wants elevatated to HER level of choice, and she is so in tune. also, she thinks he drinks too much. she hurts by not being with him, doing things that hurt him so much they hurt him. finally, when he can take no more from her, she wants him, and he is no longer interested.

Has anyone ever downloaded the acoustic version? I dont think its the version on Cafe Cuts. Best Acoustic song Ive heard since Elliot Smith died. As to the song meaning, it means more to me than to stroke 9 because of the "moment". They wrote a bad-ass song, and I found it when I was young, and used it to create the best memory of my life. Thanks Stroke 9!!!
