Rock Revolution Lyrics
can't you see by the look in our eyes
that the rock revolution won't be televised
can't you see by the look in our eyes
that the rock revolution won't be televised
when she reached maturity
according to her father she was given
his old acoustic guitar
she taught herself a bunch of chords
and wrote songs about the oppression of the working class
she sang them in the park
and she sang..
I will come clean
cause the cleaner I get is the messiest yet
I will come clean
cause the cleaner I get is the messiest yet
her name in music would become known
across the continental united states
for her message and activism
the FBI even had a file
with her name on it for disturbing the peace
and the security of the nation
can't you see by the look in our eyes
that the rock revolution won't be televised
and it's truth so it comes as no surprise
that the rock revolution won't be televised
that the rock revolution won't be televised
can't you see by the look in our eyes
that the rock revolution won't be televised
according to her father she was given
his old acoustic guitar
and wrote songs about the oppression of the working class
she sang them in the park
I will come clean
cause the cleaner I get is the messiest yet
I will come clean
cause the cleaner I get is the messiest yet
across the continental united states
for her message and activism
the FBI even had a file
with her name on it for disturbing the peace
and the security of the nation
that the rock revolution won't be televised
and it's truth so it comes as no surprise
that the rock revolution won't be televised

Wow...such a great song.
He uses she in this song is he referring to a certain person?
This is one great song. thumbs up for Piebald
Just so you know, I cannot even begin to conceive what any of this means.
i love this song. it's so great.
most piebald songs you have to put a fair amount of thought into it to try to get the total meaning of it from the way the guys write their songs.
pretty much just from looking at the lyrics it talks about how even now people try to stop others from speaking their minds and maybe teaching them a different way of thinking.
it's like they say in a few of their songs "they teach us what to think but not how to think."
this song is great. its one of those songs that you want to hold a lighter high in the air to and sway with whom ever is next to you
i'm thinking he's referring to jonie mitchell. she became famous and the FBI did keep info on jonie. some think that she and some of the other early folk singers started the revolution that is what some today call "emo" Wow, my Poetry of Rock class just came in handy.
it always makes me think of Janis Joplin.
