Lake Bodom Lyrics

Get me some divison,
I called the dead by night to the god!
Allay the chaos!
Chains to my last victim!

Set up the lights on the way to the skies
Raising my sword to the lord!
calling your death in a black obsession,
the only way WOW!
RIGHT!

So wait for salvation
Coming to me!
Life to the saint,
Life for me!

Your lord,
who smashed this bloody god on earth,
is tonight by my side,
take me to the place to die for you,
and give me life in flames!

It's black after light,
An Odysee of the end,
A lord of chaos to be,
Searching my dreams of the lifes in my vision
It's a night of war, YEAH!

The son of the night was,
left to destroy
I wait now to destroy...

Say,
why this bloody god on earth,
is always by my side,
Take me to the place where I die for you.

YAAAAAWWWW!!!.
The last song of hate
Is a song of my heart
tonight's gonna be,- yeah!
something wild!

Every COB fan knows that most of the songs in Something Wild is about the Lake Bodom murders so this song is no exception about that, at least that's what i think.

I just don't know why this song has really few comments, this song KICKS ASS!!! This was one of the first COB songs i heard and is still my favourite above all, the awesome and catchy intro, the fantastic riffery, the mind sweeping solo, IT ALL KICKS ASS!!!

My Opinion

Children of Bodom got there name from lake Bodom in Espoo Finland, where a load of little kiddie campers got murdered one night in the 60's.

so yea.. this songs probably about that

I think this song is sort of an insight into the mentality of the killer. "Raising my sword to the lord! calling your death in a black obsession" this gives you an idea of what the murderer was thinking. His lord is the devil and his sword is the knife used in the murders. Please correct me if i'm wrong but that's the way i see it. This song comes from the album Something Wild and just about the whole album is based on the bodom murders.

Lake Bodom murders

Lake Bodom murders is the way most refer to an unsolved serial murder case that happened in Finland in the year of 1961. Lake Bodom is a small Finnish lake, about 22 kilometres north of the Finnish capital, Helsinki. On the night of June 4, 1961, four teenagers were camping on the shores of the Lake Bodom when - allegedly - an insane person murdered three of them in cold blood with a knife and hurted the fourth teenager. The lone survivor went crazy afterwards, and is still in psychiatric treatment.

Some years later - between June 3 and 6 of 1972 (approximately the 11 year annversary) - a man announced that he was the Lake Bodom murderer. Policial investigation proved that he couldn't be the murderer. Fairly recent advancements have given sufficent proof that the murderer was the teenager that survived.

The triple homocide was the basis for the name of the Finnish melodic death metal band, Children of Bodom.

Thats the story of the name band and the song lol Awesome though..

I think this might be where they got the idea for the album name, "Somthing Wild" Which is the last line of this song. Favourite Bodom song.

My favourite Bodom song too... It was the first one I heard, and cemented my opinion on how fucking cool Bodom is!

Alexi wrote this song when he was nineteen years old. 19. That's fucking amazing.

17 but whatever... (Alexi was born in 1979 and the Something Wild album was recorded in 1997 thet means that he was 18 years old when they recorded this album and these songs were written shortly after releasing their third demo tape as Inearthed in early 1996 which included IMHO the best song Alexi has ever written - Talking of the Trees. I would like to live long enough to see CoB to rerecord all Inearthed Demo tapes into one Album, because they will never be able to make anything better...

I actually felt kinda sad after I read all the comments, and then read the song lyrics thinking they were mine/the killers thoughts. In the part of "Say,Why this bloody god on earth,Is always by my side,Take me to the place where I die for you." it seems like he doesn't want Satan to haunt him and that he's sad. Or at least that's how I understood it. And then the last part that his heart is full of hate, and "tonight's gonna be something wildf" is about either the moment where he kills the children or the moment after that, where he as a human should have a very empty, cold, and sad heart, and probably loses his mind. I think the killer killed himself he did the deeds. "Take me to the place where I die for you" the place could be the lake Bodom and he dies of insity or kills himself after killing the children. Made me sad thinking of these, but HEY! Epic song, one of the best songs of the band. I've loved it since 2005 when I was 11 and I still love it.
