Mass As Shadows Lyrics

You know it sounds better in the long run
Where your words and symbols stack up into the night
Hands are broken, folded like a steeple of my own symbol
The song is the same, simple word transcribed to hold your faith. (oooh your faith)
We mass as shadows, light as dust silent to further the days
Hold your frown. . .

I know it sounds better, but there's only so many things I want. So we read between the lines, the song is the same as every sun. Touched every sunrise on your face, that reminds us that spring will kill summer nights to get through. The winter days, swaying with daylight away from harm

All alone, we're all alone

Ah Ah

When you cant sing around your heart
When you cant sing by your heart
When you can't sing, you're on your own.
When you can't sing, on your own.
When you don't have, a thing to believe in.
When you will find, you have something to scream about

I blew out my speakers trying to figure this out. And yeah, some of it doesn't make sense, but I don't think it's supposed to. . . It's probably wrong anyway.

You know it sounds better in the long run, where your words and symbols stack up into the night. Hands are broken, folded like a steeple of my own symbol. The song is the same, A simple word transcribed to hold your faith. (ooh your faith.) We mass as shadows, light as dust silent to further the days Hold your frown. . .

I know it sounds better, but there's only so many things I want. So we read between the lines, the song is the same as every sun. Touched every sunrise on your face, that reminds us that spring will kill summer nights to get through. The winter days, swaying with daylight away from harm

All alone, where I, I rome. . .

When you can't sing, you're on your own. When you can't sing, on your own. When you don't have, a thing to believe in. When you will find, you have something that's grey but black.

(Not sure about that 'black' part. . . sounds like brown to me. . . but hay, what do I know.)

wow this is a sweet song..but i don't really get what its about..its like i kinda feel it..as though its on the tip of my err brain? but yea if anyone could help me out here, that would be very lovely =)

...maybe its about music and what it means to geoff..i don't know...

this song blew me away the first time i heard it even though i don't think that i'll ever figure out what the fuck geoff is talking about, but here goes...

You know it sounds better in the long run, where your words and symbols stack up into the night. Hands are broken, folded like a steeple of my own symbol. The song is the same, A simple word transcribed to hold your faith. (ooh your faith.) We mass as shadows, light as dust silent to further the days Hold your frown. . .

...(i think this is comparing how music and religion are alike and how both can have such an importance in your life to the point where you you feel your life has been saved. but at the same time i think that geoff is unhappy with religion because he didn't find what he was looking for so he turned to music.)...

I know it sounds better, but there's only so many things I want. So we read between the lines, the song is the same as every sun. Touched every sunrise on your face, that reminds us that spring will kill summer nights to get through. The winter days, swaying with daylight away from harm All alone, where I, I rome. . .

...(you have to find music/religion to save you because the rest of the world will relvolve and go about its natural cycle without any regards to you even if you are lost and all alone)...

When you can't sing, you're on your own. When you can't sing, on your own. When you don't have, a thing to believe in. When you will find, you have something that's grey but black.

...(geoff's saying that when you don't have your passion in life anymore that you are truly lost and almost like a part of you is missing.)...

well that is my interpretation of the song. let me know what you think.

jesus christ...why doesnt anybody realize that the last lines say:

when you don't have a thing to believe in you will find, you have something to scream about
