I love this song. There is a line wrong: "You are the light, the light and the way" not you are the lightn. Now, the light and the way refers to Christianity- "I am the light and the way", Jesus said. So it is about waiting for your god to come or wanting spiritual enlightenment or the peace that it brings. It is disguised in the desire for embrace of a loved one- this is a common metaphor. The love for a person is reverence or adoration. The solo is so fine on this very sensitive and lyrical yet it gets a real tight infectious groove by the end. The singing is really great. Its a lovely ballad and the only christian rock song I play.

I think it relates to a person and not Jesus but it reflects the feelings of a spiritual person such as Carlos. Great great song, but rare on the radio these days.
