99 Ways To Die Lyrics
If I see the morning hours
I'll have one more yesterday
Take life from tomorrow
'Cause I've burned out my today
If I get up to the top I know
I'll just go back downhill
Gotta' terminal future
And it's time to write my will
Down another glass of courage
And a shot of Thorazine
We're not ready to see you yet
99 ways to die
We're not ready to see you yet
Gotta' short between the earphones
Wringing my hands in dismay
A more efficient maniac
With two feet in the grave
Ain't got no last words to say
Yellow streak right up my spine
The gun in my mouth was real
And the taste blew my mind
In a black tie and straight jacket
Man I'm gonna try again
We're not ready to see you yet
99 ways to die
We're not ready to see you yet
Demitasse of arsenic
Try on this tie
Never mind the tree
There is only death and danger
In the socket of my eye
A playground of illusion
No one plays they only die
There's a prison in my mind
And the bars are gonna break
I'm as mad as a hatter
And strung out just the same
Taunting rigor mortis
I feel it draw me in
I'll have one more yesterday
Take life from tomorrow
'Cause I've burned out my today
I'll just go back downhill
Gotta' terminal future
And it's time to write my will
And a shot of Thorazine
99 ways to die
We're not ready to see you yet
Wringing my hands in dismay
A more efficient maniac
With two feet in the grave
Yellow streak right up my spine
The gun in my mouth was real
And the taste blew my mind
Man I'm gonna try again
99 ways to die
We're not ready to see you yet
Try on this tie
Never mind the tree
In the socket of my eye
A playground of illusion
No one plays they only die
And the bars are gonna break
I'm as mad as a hatter
And strung out just the same
I feel it draw me in

You forgot the Beavis and Butthead thing at the end!
Butthead: Whoa.. Beavis: Heh-heh yeah! Butthead: ...huh huh, now that was cool. Beavis: YEAH, YEAH! Heh heh...99 WAYS TO DIIIIIE Butthead: Huh huh...Yeah
The album version doesn't have Beavis and Butthead stuff lol
beavis and butthead were cool though and so is Megadeth!!
it was originally ment for the bevis and butt-head cd. He just threw it on the EP cd for kicks and for the hardcore fans
AMAZING SONG! I was in Nova Scotia when I first heard it and I was like "Holy shit, these guys are amazing, who are they" and since then, I've been a full on Megadeth fiend! Umm, this song....I donno...just gives me an amazing blood rush to the head and I love it.
This song is about contemplating suicide, it's pretty cool
Dave Mustaine is still rocking hard as opposed to Selloutica-fuck Lars, man
I love this song. 99 Ways to DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good anology Prometh.. anyways, about Dave being a role model and all, which i completely agree with. Some people say that Mustaine is an anti-role-model .. which is easy to understand, with all his drug problems, and suicidal tendencies, but thats only what someone who doesnt ACTUALLY understand think. I remember i used to absolutely HATE Mustaine. I thought he was terrible, whining little baby.. and oh god was i wrong. When i started gettin into 'Deth (which is now my favorite band) i learned alot about mustaine. If he does whine, then he has every single right to in the world, moreso than anyone else. He has been throught it all. People who dont have the right to whine are all these shitty new talentless emo cry-baby bands, and there is simply nothing more to it. Now, seeing and hearing Mustaine, he one of my favorite people, and most defintly a role model for me.
Hmm song is powerful just like most Megadeth songs. Signs point to suicide, and could also be about how he has thoughts of suicide, and how he already did it but thinks he wants to do it again.
Idk awsome song and love Megadeth
The song was originally written about suicide and feeling as if his life is getting worse day to day, with no positive things in sight. Rumor has it that the chorus was originally "they're not ready to see me yet", meaning that God and/or Satan didn't want him to die yet. Mustaine did attempt suicide around the time this song was made, and he did die for a few minutes before being brought back. The lyrics were obviously negative and dealt with subjects that Megadeth knew wouldn't be allowed on Mtv, so they made the video with anti-gun messages and scenes of children playing with guns. This was to make the video seem as if the song was "uplifting" in a way.
Dave is such a beautiful man. He is truly someone who has seen it all, and done it all. He is sensitive, and for all us guys, it's kinda embarrassing to show your sensitivity. But Dave is a good man, and I hope I can be like him some day.
