I absolutely love this song. I think it's about this person in self-exploration. Discovering who he is, stripping himself of the layers and deciding what kind of person he is without anyone behind him to hold him back. To let him fall, and that is how he will discover who he really is. But that's just what I hear. The meaning can be pretty hard to decipher. :p

I think that this song is about trying to reach a certain goal, but he no longer wants to have to depend on people to get him through, he wants to do it himself and if he has to fall to get to where he needs to be then so be it he will just come back with even more determination
