Keep 'Em Coming Lyrics
14 hours ahead - a head that's heavier than lead
and I've got toothpicks in my eyes, a smile more yellow than the sky
I've got a song stuck in my head, one that I miss more than my bed
It's a song sung from a fallen milkman who's drinking bleach instead
I'm much like him.
14 hours unfed - I spent the last cents in my head
They're worth much less than pennies now
Food for one thought shared with a crowd
and I've got a painting in my head, a deeper blue bled thicker red
More red than Bloody Marys coast to coast
I hate flying I said - that's what I said
Sad, sorry excuse.
Just like everything that made her smile and everything I use
I won't go back to the way it was
I'm now huffing gas and sniffing paint,
to take away this buzz that I call you.
14 hours ahead - a head that's heavier than lead
Toothpicks pry open eyes, a smile more yellow than the sky
I've got a song stuck in my head, one that I miss more than my bed
It's a song sung from a fallen milkman who's drinking bleach instead
I'm much like him.

once i heard the first verse of this song once the cd was released i knew that this cd would be so amazing. sure was.
If ever there were lyrics that painted a picture, it's in this song. It's about replacing something missing in your life with your work, although your work happens to be spilling your guts to an audience of fans, drinking your ass off, getting no sleep, excessive traveling and doing it all over again the next day. Great song.
i love this song
This song is so wonderfully graphic.
this is the very first alk3 song i heard, and i didn't know it was them- i had to search the lyrics all over the place, and the only ones i could remember were "i've got toothpicks in my eyes..."
"I'm now huffing gas and sniffing paint, to take away this buzz that I call you." i'm not a sick kid but that like f'ing rocks... i always skipped over this song and then one day it just got stiuck in my head..
14 hours ahead - a head that's heavier than lead. Amazing lyric.
I'm wondering something... The line: "It's a song sung from a fallen milkman who's drinking bleach instead"... Does this refrence to the Dead Milkmen? esp. their song the "Bleach Boys", which is about them drinking bleach...this just seems to make sense to me, because fallen can mean dead, and milkmen is right there, and the bleach part fits right in too...
this is a wonderful song...everything they write is so fucking graphic, so beautifully poetic and painful...that makes them the best band ever
Ummm....I basically just agree with guitarfuck....No way in hell could anyone match alkaline trio. They have the most powerful lyrics i have ever heard.
