She's just a lover, who makes me high
Is it worth the giving, is it worth the try
You cannot cleave it, or put it in the furnace
You cannot wet it, you cannot burn it

She wants to give it
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it) Dare me
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it)
She wants to give it
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it) Yea
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it)

One thing in life you must understand
The truth of lust woman to man
So open the door, and you will see
There are no secrets
Make your move, set me free

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you
I swear there's something about you baby

Just promise me, whatever we say
Whatever we do to each other
For now we take a vow to just
Keep it in the closet

If you can get it, it's worth a try
I really want it, I can't deny
It's just desire, I really love it
'Cause if it's aching, you have to rub it
She wants to give it

She wants to give it
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it) Dare me
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it)
She wants to give it
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it) Yea
(She wants to give it, she wants to give it)

Just open the door, and you will see
This passion burns inside of me
Don't say to me, you'll never tell
Touch me there, make the move
Cast the spell

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you
I swear there's something about you baby

Just promise me, whatever we say
Or do to each other
For now we'll make a vow to just
Keep it in the closet

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you

Because there's something about you baby
That makes me want to give it to you

Because there's something about you baby

Just promise me, whatever we say
Or do to each other
For now we'll make a vow to just
Keep it in the closet

She wants to give it,
She wants to give it, oh she want's to give it
She wants to give it, oh she want's to give it
She wants to give it,
She wants to give it, oh she want's to give it
She wants to give it,
She wants to give it, oh she want's to give it

"She wants to give it!!?" Holy crap!!! Also, a girl on another forum pointed out that you can hear bed springs go up and down in the back music.

I love this song so much!! It's one of MJ's best songs in my opinion. I just love everything about it, especially the princess' voice and the beat! It's incredible. Very, very sexy and hot video clip!! Naomi Campbell - whoah, woman!! lol. This song is so passionate, full of desire and lust, also beauty and mystery - it's such a great song. Obviously their passion for each other is quite dangerous, it's not right, so they need to "keep it in the closet". Awesome song!!! I don't think it sounds like she's dying... to me she sounds like she's longing for him, sounds like she really needs him and desires him, she sounds beautiful and exotic.

I just love the video. I think this song is about a girl expressing love for MJ and MJ wanted this girl too but he wasn't very sure if it was the real thing and whether he should give it a try. It's obvious the girl wanted MJ very much and tried to seduced him and MJ was saying he couldn't deny his desire for her. And he was saying whatever they do or say to each other, the girl shoudl vow to keep it a secret. I think it's very much a reflection of his own personal love life. I am sure women would be throwing themselves at him and there must have been a couple he really liked but he was too afraid to get hurt.

Michaels definition of "in the closet" and everyone else's is completely different. lol

His in the closet simply means that it's something that's secret and/or private. Things of this nature were generally kept private and he didn't talk about them. He also preferred that the women he was involved with didn't talk to other people about their relations.

It does pretty much scream sex though. He wants the girl so bad he 'aches' but he wants to make sure she knows that she isn't to talk to/tell anybody about what they've done or are going to do.

He married Debbie years after this song was released. I think the song is about keeping a very passionate love secret from others.

Now that I think about it, it's such an unfortunate title.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
