Someone else standing in my shoes
Count the hours since he left his boots behind
Still in limbo, think i'll stay up late
This infomercial's got me lifting weights for you
I'm sober
Is it over?
The nights gone and i'm still waiting...
Another drink could save my life
What's this myth that said we'd have 'good times'
I can't seem to find my impulsive side
Just excuses and the lies
Simple thing ain't gonna make me survive
This rock 'n' roll thing still gives me life
And it's not gonna change
Is it all that strange?
I'm sober
Is it over?
The nights gone and i'm still waiting...
Another drink could save my life
Someone else standing in my shoes
Count the hours since he left his boots behind
Still in limbo, think i'll stay up late
Lorenzo Lamas got me lifting fuckin' weights
for you... yeah
Count the hours since he left his boots behind
Still in limbo, think i'll stay up late
This infomercial's got me lifting weights for you
Is it over?
The nights gone and i'm still waiting...
Another drink could save my life
I can't seem to find my impulsive side
Just excuses and the lies
Simple thing ain't gonna make me survive
And it's not gonna change
Is it all that strange?
Is it over?
The nights gone and i'm still waiting...
Another drink could save my life
Count the hours since he left his boots behind
Still in limbo, think i'll stay up late
Lorenzo Lamas got me lifting fuckin' weights
for you... yeah

i think it's about longing to grow up and be able to do things that you're not allowed to do yet [i can relate so much!], but once you get there, it's not all what you thought it would be...
i think its about not being able to live up to societies expectations leaving you unsatisfied with your life
I think this song is about a recovering alcaholic. Besides the obvious "im sober" and "another drink could save my life", theres the references to being drunk "What's this myth that said we'd have 'good times'" and the whole "nights gone" thing reminds me of the alcaholism being like the night before, and the recovery is like the hangover
