I am the conqueror
I taste your scent in the wind
I set my sail but then you sink my boat
So I begin to swim
Bash my foes until I win
Lances smash across my chest
That's my quest you wonder why
I will never die
The only thing I bleed for is you

Oceans of love
I've crossed them for you
In the matrix of your garden
I find you in bloom
Now that you found me
No one's gonna get around me

I'm coming for you
Coming for you
Coming for you (Can we get this all together)
Coming for you (Can we get this all)

Nothing I cannot do
There is nothing I wouldn't do for you
And you put me all through the worst
I am cursed with a light that's made to burn
That's where I shine
And now you'll be mine

Oceans of love
I've crossed them for you
In the matrix of your garden
I beg your pardon
Now that I've hardened
No one's gonna get around me

I'm coming for you (Can we get this all together)
I'm coming for you (Can we get this all together)
Coming for you (Can we get this all together)
Coming for you (Can we get this all together)

I am the conqueror
Byzantine mosaic in the heat
I am cursed, through the worst
With a life that's made to burn
That's where I shine
And you, you, you, you, you
Are mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!

Oceans of love
I've crossed them for you
In the matrix of your garden
I find you in bloom
Now that I've found you
No one's gonna get around me

I'm coming for you (Can we get this all together)
I'm coming for you (Can we get this all together)
Coming for you (Can we get this all together)
Coming for you (Can we get this all together)

I am the conqueror
I am the conqueror
I, am the conqueror
I am the conqueror
I, am the conqueror
I am the conqueror
Am the conqueror

i'm thinkin this song is from the movie 'A Knight's Tale' (with the always-hot Heath Ledger...). this is an excellent song... upbeat...one of my favorites from the unreleased/covered selection.

Yeah it's definately a good song. Is it just me or does Third Eye Blind have a lot of songs that are awesome that arent on any albums?

"I will never die, the only thing I bleed for is you" I don't like most songs written for movies, they just sound too fake but this one comes off perfectly. Anyone know why it is called Eye Conquerer and not I am the Conquerer or something like that? Any meaning from the title?

To me, I think this song is about the narrator comparing winning a girl's heart to conquering a city in ancient times.

This song is from A Knight's Tale, I'm pretty sure it was played during a jousting scene that he tried to prove himself to the princess he wanted...

    My Interpretation

The song to me is clearly about sex. It's a metaphor comparing a knight rescuing a damsel to a man competing for the attention of a woman and succeeding in bedding her. Not only has the protagonist of the song beat out other men to sleep with this girl, but he has also (hopefully) provided a satisfying sexual experience for the both of them.

'In the matrix of your garden, I find you in bloom', might just be reference to her beauty or beautiful spirit, but words like 'garden' and 'bloom' are not uncommon words associated with a woman's private parts. This is confirmed when the lyrics become 'In the matrix of your garden, I beg your pardon, now that I've hardened', 'hardened' clearly referring to his penis. He later says he's 'coming' for her, which is self-explanatory. 'I taste your scent in the wind' may refer to either kissing or cunnilingus, probably the latter, because this guy is obsessed with satisfying this woman completely. Also, the vagina is often called a 'pink eye' and he is the 'eye conqueror'.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
