My Confession

muwhahahahaha this is my life song!!!!! this kinda describes my skool and how some of the ppl in it make me feel... but i think shes talking about the same thing... its like how ppl judge her and wen ppl make judgements about me they say some good stuff, yet some bad stuff but thats cuz im not like everybody else and wen ppl tell u that being different is bad then it kinda drills into ur hed that ur not that good and ur kinda worthless.... but thanx to my friends that really care and my great bf, i have found my sanctuary but those ppl that make fun of me and my friends... what they dont realize is that one day people will treat them the same way that they treated me... and everybody gets theirs...

Its everything that explains the way i feel and the way i have been treated. Her lyrics cant be bent to express any lifestyle of any person, in any point in their life. Thats why I like this band so much.

the song iz bout how people talk her down and try 2 make her think shes nothin but then she just lets it all out in her muzik and thats wen she thinks "hey, screw them...I am talented, so forget them and theis B.S!!" Its just a theory i gots cuz I sumtimes feel like that bout my muzik 2...

This song is so beautiful, but not in the same sence as the word. It is beautiful in the sence that lots of people can relate to it.. but then it is also beautiful if you like the style of music, which I do... it's so meanongful :).

the part that most relates to me is "i have many secrets...i eat the weak". i think there are many people who can say this song is "their song". i am one of them! it is the anthem for all those who have felt alone and trapped...at an end and there is no way out.

This is about being in that place that's totally bleak. That you find more-and-more your paths are being cut off. That life starts becoming an antonym in itself. There is no reason to live.

Why live when all there is is sadness?

All there is is pain.

Otep is so awesome because they usually have a duality going on in their songs. On one hand you find out how bleak it is to live in this ses pool. But there is always a doorway. Always a way out no matter what.

Even if everything is cut off on the outside you can always go inside.

And that alone gives me reason to believe in something or someone higher. It can't be random that there is always a certain doorway out. An exit from the pain and sufferring.

These lines are utterly beautiful:

To me revenge is beautiful. Maybe I'm sadistic in the view of others for thinking so... but I think redemption needs to sweep across the world. I think everyone needs to get exactly what they deserve, whether positive or negative. So this kind of revenge is something that is not always harmful. And harm isn't my objective. Just a lesson to make everyone rethink, whether it be to continue in their direction or change it.

If there is a person out there that can't realte to this song, then he/she's not human. it's a brilliant mix of the hidden boundries of hate that EVERYBODY harbours........

It's bliss. Otep i've come to understand is rage-powered poetry, and this masterpiece is in my opinion the her best song...
