Climbed up on the rainbow
Just to see if I'd fall off
I'm a frosted lemon coward
And I don't know how
No, don't know to hold you
Without shaking
No, I'm not aware of how I could possibly love you
Without aching
Yes I give you everything, yes I give you anything
I gave you everything

Got to watch myself I've got to love myself
And take care
And so keep the light on before

Yeah, hop into bed
'Cause, baby, this is the last honest look I'll ever give

I saved up all my sunshine just to see you more clear
I'm a little short on solar but I haven't given in
No, I'm going to hold you anyway
And I'll do it without shaking
Yes, I'll love you always
And I'll do it without aching
Yes, I'd give you anything, yes I'd give you anything
I gave you everything

Got to watch myself I've got to love myself
And take care
And so keep the light on before

Yeah, hop into bed
'Cause, baby, this is the last honest look I'll ever give

I give you everything I give you anything
I gave you everything

Got to watch myself I've got to love myself
And take care, yeah
I gave you, I gave you
I gave you everything

So got to watch myself I've got to love myself
And take care

This is your last love this is your last love this is your last love
Yeah this is your last love
This is your last love this is your last love
And so keep the light on before ya' hop into bed
'Cause, baby, this is the last honest love I'll ever give

rainbow and sunshine. this song is so beautiful... it describes what i'm going through perfectly.

in my opinion, it's about a love that wasn't on the same level; one of them loves the other very much, and the other one might've just been with them for the heck of it. so the one that was in love decides to end it, even if she knows she won't get over them easily; she'd rather keep her pride and dignity than be with someone who doesn't feel the same way.

    My Interpretation

Obviously this is about someone she really loves. I think its more like she was just giving everything to make it work, down to even herself, the love she had for herself and it was replaced by the love she had for that other person. And that person, just cant return all of that, doesnt wanna break up and cut her off completely, the person wants to stay friends. Probably the most difficult thing to do when your inlove. And probably the wrongest thing and unconsiderate thing a person can ask you.

'' Im going to hold you anyway and ill do it without shaking yes ill love you always and ill do it without aching''

If your shaking it means the action means alot to you, bad or good, but in this case its good. Virgins shake when they touch for the first time, you shake under the hand of someone you love. So shes going to try to not make it show that that one tiny physical contact makes her shake and feel infinite. Shes going to still love the person, but she'll pretend shes not aching for more.

''This is the last honest look I'll ever give''

Because the person is asking her to not be honest, to not show what she really feels. So its the last time shes going to open, and then she'll close up. And pretend to stop shaking and stop aching.

I dont know. Thats how i see it, but maybe thats only because im in a same situation right now. Amazing song, really.

It seems to be about someone she gave herself to. SHe put all she had into the relationship and although she loves this person so much, she realizes as much love as she feels, she's also in pain, so that's why it's the last "honest love [she'll] ever give. she's never gonna put herself in that painful position again, being blinded by love. makes me think of that 1st high school love, when you had millions of emotions flying about, so much passion both positive and negative.

I think this song is about the end of a relationship. When you know that is going to be over soon and you want the other person to know how much you loved them and gave to them. You also realize you need to start taking care of yourself from now on.

I like ohsoquiet's description! I never thought of it like that, and I agree with the high school love thing. And yeah, the "last honest love" thing, I think is about how..well you know how when a lot of people get their hearts broken and they decide "I'm never dating again"?? I think it's like that. And the "keep the light on before you hop into bed" i think mean "get one good last look at me"

i like the end lyric of the song, with the abrupt way it finishes with 'this is the last honest love ill ever give'. its as though she decided to leave him right as it ends.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
