On the plainest level it is meant to point out the horror of simplicity of life and society.
Graffin sounds like he is a mediator trying to sell each person the other's lifestyle.
But honestly each chorus makes everything sound horrible. And intent and cautious energy created by the music and style of Greg's singing makes the song sound very much like a warning. Amazing song.

Definately about the bliss of ignorance, how appealing it looks to just live such a simple manufactured life without knowing that there is so much more to life beyond it.
