I think this is about a who is totally lost and needs God, she wants to get away from all this pressure and drama that she's in. I totally relate, i just want to fly away with God to somewhere safe and comfortable.
i believe this song is about a girl struggling with an eating disorder. "she starves herself" she's bombarded with the media of women with unrealistic bodies and she wants to be like them.so she starves herself. "and this compulsion must end" but once she begins to go down this route, she finds it's become an addiction. she wants out but doesn't know how to be free."only God knows how to fly away from this". she must find her escape by submitting to God, and He will provide the way out.
