Rasetsu Koku (English) Lyrics

Kingdom of Demons

the transformation triggered by the musk
reflecting on the night of the hazy moon
displaced * tricky * wicked
the cleric's eye can't see, this demon.

the road of carnage which changed my self
lawlessness running rampant is a bull's-eye
searching the dark through this form, like a snake.

I've been put on the executioner's stage.
they jeer and laugh wickedly.
holding upon high my severed head, the peasants say,
"the kingdom of demons is upon us"

manners * nature * estrangement * demons

many peasants died.
the hope for peace was destroyed.
this life is revolting
this is a world of carnage.

manners * nature * estrangement * demons

I throw away myself, and become the carnage.
All the people with hearts, become nothing.
now its too late, everything is destroyed.

I think Sweet Itami expressed this well, that is exactly how I think this is portrayed. I wish I could personally discuss song meanings with Kyo myself though. :'( It'd be nice to understand his thoughts better.

I don't know what this exactly means, but I heard Kyo based these lyrics off some old legend or myth...

Is it just me, or does this song sound slightly X-Japan inspired? Dir en grey does like them after all. Anyway, it's a really cool song!

This song is about Communist Russia. The title itself means like, "man-eating devil country" which is what China called them or something. So your guys's comments are really quite interesting... based on myth...HA this is the reeeal world!

Maybe he just wrote it after too many hours of Dragon Quest ~ possibly he wants to paint the demons as the misinterpreted ones... kind of like what "grendel" was in response to beowulf
