Four Wall Blackmail Lyrics
These four walls have seen the worst of me.
They’re bleeding confession, but they’ll never speak.
These four walls have seen the life I truly lead.
They’re crying depression. They’re weak in the knees.
Right on the floor.
Please walls, stay quiet
Reputation is on the line.
Please God, stay quiet.
Don’t let them know you’re watching me die.
Falling down.
The waves are crashing in on me again.
Falling down.
The walls are closing in on me again.
Falling down.
The waves are crashing in on me again.
Falling down.
I feel the weight, I feel the weight again.
And If you open up your heart you’ll see
I’m only human. Let me be me.
And if you could open up your heart you’ll see
This wasn’t my intent. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.
Right on the floor.
Please walls, stay quiet
Reputation is on the line.
Please God, stay quiet.
Don’t let them know you’re watching me die.
Falling down.
The waves are crashing over me again.
Falling down.
The walls are closing in on me again.
Falling down.
The waves are crashing in on me again.
Falling down.
I feel the weight, I feel the weight again.
Right on the floor.
They’re bleeding confession, but they’ll never speak.

This is the main song on the soundtrack of my life...I love this song.
This song is really interesting musically. I love the way it contrasts between the mellow.. almost gentle verses and then it becomes more brutal with the bridge. Awesome lyrics, as usual with Dead Poetic. Go buy the cd, you will not be dissapointed
This is the best song on the WHOLE FREAKING CD....These guys are awesome, i have this cd playing almost as much as A Parade of Chaos...but....i just gave it away to a guy down in mexico, cause he liked it so much hahaha, man i love being christian! I GOT GOOD MUSIC AND A GOOD GOD TO GIVE ME A GOOD HEART!
One of my favorite songs on the cd, i love the ending where he just keeps screaming "right on the floor" over and over again.
i just starting listening to this band.. i like them alot!
This song is just about something that the singer feels guilty about. He doesnt want people to know, and he knows god is the only person who know. God, "the walls" and himself. are the only ones who know. I feel that the walls is his conscience opr his conviction eating away at him. and finally at the end of the song he says hes sorry.
i dont know im not good at this stuff
actually I think you're right on target, the four walls are around him and have "seen" everything but "will never speak". The walls of his conscience close in on him and he feels the "weight" of his guilt. Perhaps he's doing something to himself, so he tells God to stay quiet and not let anyone know he's watching him die.
this song is about the things that you do that you dont want ohter people to see. the real you, or the person you are behind closed doors. everyone has walls around them and if they could talk. you wouldnt want them too. Four wall blackmail.
I agree with silygirl18 & andr0x :D
the "walls" are walls. they surround us and "see" the things we do, wrong and right. and so does God. he fears his reputation being tarnished by his wrong actions. And then he is "on the floor" presumably from the total and utter bruising of his soul.
there is some sort of an apology. cool. um... and the ending... just repeating the defeatedness of the guy i guess.
i can relate to this song a lot because, me, and a couple friends in my youth group are like the original members, so everyone looks at us as almost perfect, and expects so much out of us. And every time i do soething that i will regret, i feel like the walls are blackmailin me. we are all humans, and WILL sin. However what i like so much about this song is how he feels bad about it, and still goes to God. the bible talks about not having your conscience seared to the point where you don't feel bad about sinning anymore, and the singer (along with me i might add) hates every tie they fall.
