People
Of the earth beware
It is here in human form
An atrocity
Laced with greed
Filled with
Evil intentions
Ready to attack!

[Lead: Andy]

Look to the air for stories to choose
Who will be your next victim
Profitting on visions of others

Dark emotions run through its veins
It's motives are false
It's mind is insane
A distant planet with no signs of life
To become a home for this alien breed

Scientists of the world unite
Your services are more than needed
This creature in human form
Is out of control

[Lead: Chuck]

Looks can be deceiving
See beyond the shell
Flesh and eyes mean nothing
The truth, time it will tell

Before you think you fool the world
What comes around goes around
Shown for what you are
A waste of life

[Lead: Andy]

Look to the air for stories to choose
Who will be your next victim
Profitting on visions of others

Dark emotions run through its veins
It's motives are false
It's mind is insane
A distant planet with no signs of life
To become a home for this alien breed

Scientists of the world unite
Your services are more than needed
This creature in human form
Is out of control

    My Interpretation

"People Of the earth beware It is here in human form An atrocity Laced with greed Filled with Evil intentions Ready to attack!"

As chuck stated in several interviews 'Hell is inside of people'. This is what he is trying to say with this part. The evil is in human form.

"Look to the air for stories to choose Who will be your next victim Profiting on visions of others"

This one isn't as easy as the previous one. I believe this can refer to many things. For example visions in religion that makes people do bad things. But probably also just mentally insane people in general that do messed up things as a result of their visions.

"Dark emotions run through its veins It's motives are false It's mind is insane A distant planet with no signs of life To become a home for this alien breed"

The first three lines seem kinda similar to the first part of this song. It's just about the evil within people. The last two lines are in my opinion pretty hard to interpret. It could mean that once we start to inhabit other planets we sort of change that distant planet into a evil place with evil people?

"Scientists of the world unite Your services are more than needed This creature in human form Is out of control"

Chuck is asking scientists to cast out the evil from those people. I personally have no idea how this can be done, if it can be done (seems inevitable to me). But this is kinda the only thing that can be done to save us from ourselves.

"Looks can be deceiving See beyond the shell Flesh and eyes mean nothing The truth, time it will tell"

Pretty obvious, just because a person seems to be a good person from the outside doesn't mean they are. And the truth will tell as their evil side can come out at any time.

"Before you think you fool the world What comes around goes around Shown for what you are A waste of life"

These people fool the world and do bad things, but in the end they will be the ones paying for their wrongdoings. Sadly this isn't always the case in our current society.

The literal meaning seems to be about extraterrestrials who want to fuck shit up, but its never that easy. So ill try to bring religion into it. "Look to the air for stories to choose Who will be your next victim Profitting on visions of others"

Look to the air seems kind of a slam on heaven saying when you look to heaven for your stories you are really looking to the air. Profiting of visions of others seem like those priests who suck the cash and dignity out of people with Jesus's vision, or the bibles vision, or whatever fucking religion you follow.

"Scientists of the world unite Your services are more than needed This creature in human form Is out of control"

Who is religions greatest enemy? Science and common sense. These possessed people with their convert the world attitude is out of control, and needs to be combated.

I could do this all day and just pick parts out of it but you get the idea. I will leave this one last qoute for all you religulous people out there.

"Before you think you fool the world What comes around goes around Shown for what you are A waste of life"

This song is about a computer which has a rather loud operating system. His owner is disgusted and sends it to Azerbaijan to be fixed. The worker in Azerbaijan has headphones on when the package is delivered and ignores the delivery. The box stays there for 36 years when the man finally removes his headphones. The rain has made the cardboard soggy and the computer is now of no use as it is wet. The man simply sends a compensation of a handbag to the original owner.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
