I'm the man in the box
Buried in my shit

Won't you come and save me?
Save me

Feed my eyes
(Can you sew them shut?)
Jesus Christ
(Deny your maker)
He who tries
(Will be wasted)
Oh, feed my eyes
(Now you've sewn them) shut

I'm the dog who gets beat
Shove my nose in shit

Won't you come and save me?
Save me

Feed my eyes
(Can you sew them shut?)
Jesus Christ
(Deny your maker)
He who tries
(Will be wasted)
Oh, feed my eyes
(Now you've sewn them) shut

Feed my eyes
(Can you sew them shut?)
Jesus Christ
(Deny your maker)
He who tries
(Will be wasted)
Oh, feed my eyes
(Now you've sewn them) shut

Sean Kinney admits in an interview that this song is about veal. Although, xstatic's quote comes from the same interview where Stayley claims to have been stoned when he wrote the lyrics. Actually, except for replacing the word "calf" with "man," the words are quite literally true to the treatment of baby cows and how veal is produced. Calves are chained to their stalls to keep their meat nice and tender and then are deprived of iron to keep the meat looking sparkley white. They end up drinking their own urine. Look into it...you'll most likely never eat veal again.
