This is also one of my favourite songs of Eryka. I love the harmonious music, with the drums. It makes me feel quite tranqile and empowered every time I listen.

To me, the song speaks of self awareness and one's personal journey through their life. We are all gonna make mistakes in life, however, we all (I believe) have our personal destinies and when we make these mistakes and vere of course, our soul's will see us back on route.

I totally agree with BoundlessAsTheDarK....whenever i'm feeling extremely down this is what i listen to and makes me feel a lot better....one of my favorite songs ever!!

i believe it gets deeper... i think shes talking about internal struggles with her life path and the fight between good and evil... her rebirth in the end symbolises that she may have chose evil but i have faith in erykah
you just have to keep your eyes open for symbolism not only in the song but in the video
the one thing i love about ms. badu is that her song may be simple in lyric but the meaning is very deep rooted
