Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Try and love might come your way

Here I am, on a cloud
If you want me take the chance try love out loud
As I drift through the sky
Shooting cupid's loving arrow you just might try
So don't miss baby, take your time
You've only got one chance, yes

Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Touch a four leaf clover
Love my get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Try and love might come your way

Like the way I am free
Going places, being things I wanna be
Settle down, is oh so hard
But I will pray you that one chance
So pick the one right one
And don't miss it, take your time
You only got one chance, do wee ooh wee ooh

Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Touch a four leaf clover
Love my get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Try and love might come your way

Free as a bird, yeah, yeah
To catch me is to catch a leprechaun
Hold on to your rabbit's foot
I just might be yours forever

Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Touch a four leaf clover
Love my get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
Maybe we'll get over
Try and love might come your way

Touch a four leaf clover
Touch a four leaf clover
Try and love might get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Try and love might come your way
Maybe we'll get over

Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Touch a four leaf clover
Love might get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Try and love might come your way
Maybe we'll get over

Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Touch a four leaf clover
Love might get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Try and love might come your way
Maybe we'll get over

Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Touch a four leaf clover
Love might get you over
Touch a four leaf clover
(Touch a four leaf clover)
Try and love might come your way
Maybe we'll get over

Great song. Surprised no one has commented.

But I'm confused about something..it's not on here, but at the beginning of the song she says, "Buzilla baby!" What does that mean?

And at the ending (also not shown here) she says, "15 will get you 16"... that sounds similar to the jailbait term "15 will get you 20", but I'm not sure what she's talking about or how it relates to the song..

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
