This isn't about you
Or the life she's leading through you
Just every passing day
Leaves me wondering what is really true
Expecting to find you sleeping soundly

Through and through
Sadness comes misplaced
And ends are means by which to uncover truth
Happiness will come when you are with the one
Who can take you to places you never were

But always knew
I'm coming for the ride
And you can say it's too safe inside
You cannot realize it's taking time

I'm taking it in stride
I'm sure it's safer inside
You just can't realize but you're such a person
Wake up every morning, every morning
With her name in your head, you can survive

But you say I'm not half what I wish
I was so much back then
There is no end and no room for pretend
Feeling only this, I cannot fathom it

There's no escape from uncertain fate
There is no excuse, why did this happen to you
Can our lives be made up
From what's been left in time
You're feeling time crushing at the spine

And you're tired and I'm tired
We're so tired, yeah
You're tired inside
You just can't realize what's wrong

Or what it's like to be something
Oh you've come a long way
And I know everything feels gone
Will you see this through

Or will you say it's through
Everything seems so gone to you

well im not sure exactly what this song means, but it sounds like the author is talking to his friend who is crazy about this girl...just saying how the guy is so involved in the drama and how hes tired of it and wishes it was the same as before....something like that

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
