Electra Made Me Blind Lyrics
I turn and follow the western
Wind down
I go and pack up my shiny things
And go, yeah just go
Yeah, stupid happy with everything
I pulled myself down so easily
I know, I know, I know
Saw her spinning around and around
I never knew much about her past
I knew enough that I didn't ask
I know
No one ever said it's supposed to be
I know
I know ways to make it easier

I think that this great song could be about drugs. Art 'met' Electra (representing the drugs) and he didn't know too much about them, but he didn't ask. He just say them 'spinning round' and took them. He talks about how "living isn't a simple thing" and how everyone makes bad choices in their life that hurt them. As for "July she lied" I think that could be about his brother who overdosed on drugs (possible in July?)

I agree with your theories. And two lines that really send me that same message are 'stupid happy with everything, I pulled myself down so easily' It could be indicating the feeling of being high on drugs and how they ruin someone's life.

I thought, from the title, it was Carmen Electra that him blind - because of, well you know what!
