The song is about the Norman conquest of England in 1066 (yes "Norman" is correct). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Conquest

hornpout you're not so smart.

The Normans came from present day Northern France and conquered England in 1066. "Invaders" is about the Vikings raiding the British Islands a couple of centuries before that.

The lyrics clearly mention their longboats, their name "vikings", and where they come from "Norsemen". Normans are not Norsemen lol

William the Conqueror was French and his invasion in 1066 was a turning point in British history. Still it's not what "Invaders" is about.

I hate when people say this or gangland are the low point of NotB. They are both great songs!

A good rock song. I like the lyrics more than the music actually, the lyrics are just cool. The chorus is pretty weird sounding but I like it. All in all not bad, but not a classic.
