Now You See It (Now You Don't) Lyrics

OVERBEARING WOMAN MAKIN' IT SO HARD FOR ME
NOW YOU'VE LAID IT DOWN FOR ALL TO SEE
CAN I ASK A QUESTION, D'YA THINK YOU CAN TAKE A
BLOW
THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS COME AND GO.

NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON'T
CAREFUL OF WORDS THAT GET CAUGHT IN YOUR THROAT
FACE THE MUSIC. TAKE IT LIKE A MAN
GIVIN' IT TO ME ANYWAY YOU CAN

EVERYBODY'S FEELING EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT TO
FEEL
I'VE GOT SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN CONCEAL

NOW YOU SEE IT
NOW YOU DON'T
NOW YOU SEE IT
NOW YOU DON'T

GIVE ME CENTRAL HEATING HOPE THAT I CAN PAY THE
BILL

MAKIN ME FORGET MY FEAR OF HELL
MYST BE LUCK IN ODD NUMBERS NOW YOU FACE ME
UPSIDE DOWN
I'M SO FAR UP I'M AFRAID TO COME BACK DOWN

It's about Bob Daisley hating Sharon Osbourne. It's pretty clear from the lyrics it's about how she screws him over. "Overbearing woman, give me central heating, expect me to pay the bill...etc" Bob is still in awe that they allowed it on the album. Despite the credits, Ozzy did not write a single word or note on this album.

@digitalmanMKII they were too arrogant and self-absorbed, and believed Bob's line that it was just about sex-- note Ozzy's idiotic "flaps, bodge" nonsense, with which he's ruined a few other early tunes, including "Suicide Solution".

Ah another great song from my favorite album, Bark at the Moon... This song is about sex... yeah just look at the lyrics.

As noted by others, this is indeed Bob Daisley's ode to Sharon Osbourne for screwing him and all the other musicians who made Ozzy's career... Although Ozzy himself bears blame as well. Bob's genius is apparent here, managing to get a message of hate for the singer's wife onto the album by cleverly making it appear at first glance that the lyrics are all about sex. Indeed, that in itself would be clever enough, since the double entendres and metaphors he employs are themselves pretty crafty, and never sink to outright vulgarity. Bob has, in earlier interviews, simply passed it off as a song about "hiding a sausage," but has more recently admitted the real meaning and inspiration. Long live Bob Daisley! And God bless his poor back, which must ache abominably after carrying Ozzy's career for a good dozen years.
