I ended the book that I'm writing
The part about you, I'm tearing it out
A simple good night, stop fighting
There is nothing there to even read about

I'm leaving you here my darling
To search for a better and easy way out
Trough all of the pain that I'm causig
There is nothing there to even sing about

But it goes,
bah bah bah barabara barah-ba, jabbadei, jabbadei, jabbadeii, jabbadarabaah
bah bah bah babah, bah bah barabara barah-ba, jabbadei, jabbadei, jabbadeii, jabbadarabaah hey-hey-hey

Recorded the Italian radio
I changed up the words that made ya happy though.
I then met that man from that music show
I beat ut, I beat up the boy that made ya happy thoug
Rombombombom oeeheh.

I noticed the things that you want me to be,
Thay ait'alweis the ones that made me happy
So pull out your hands and meet my, fine new lady
She's rock n' roll, and she save me.

It goes,
bah bah bah barabara barah-ba, jabbadei, jabbadei, jabbadeii, jabbadarabaah
bah bah bah babah, bah bah barabara barah-ba, jabbadei, jabbadei, jabbadeii, jabbadarabaah hey-hey-hey

This song is so interesting, both musically and lyrically. And I agree with Stolensoul, the live version is better. The studio version is too poppy for my taste, and doesn't really reflect the passion in the lyrics. The live is far less generic, and the roughness really makes the lyrics ring most true.

The one line I'm curious about is the "I beat up the boy that made her happy, though," and how that relates to the "in front of the midnight music show." I get that the "though" is connecting it to the next line, saying that he did this despite the fact that he knows her expectations for him. But then wouldn't she have been the one to end the relationship with him? Because in the beginning, it seems like he ended it with her, not the other way around. ["I ended the book that I'm writing, the part about you I'm tearing it out."] I suppose that he left her because he was causing too much pain? Yes?

Anyway, awesome song, Blue October is AMAZING.
