Joanne:
The samples won't delay but the cable-

Mark:
There's another way
Say something...anything

Joanne:
Test one, two, three

Mark:
Anything but that

J:
This is weird

M:
It's weird

J:
Very weird

M:
Fucking weird

J:
I'm so mad that I don't know what to do
Fighting with microphones
Freezing down to my bones
And to top it all off I'm with you

M:
Feel like going insane
Got a fire in your brain
And you're thinking of drinking gasoline

J:
As a matter of fact

M:
Honey, I know that act
It's called the tango maureen
The tango maureen
It's a dark dizzy merry-go-round
As she keeps you dangling (J: you're wrong)
Your heart she is mangling (J: it's different with me)
And you toss and you turn
Cause her cold eyes can burn
And you yearn and you churn and rebound

J:
I think I know what you mean

Both:
The tango Maureen

M:
Has she ever pouted her lips and called you pookie? (J: never)
Have you ever doubted a kiss or two?

J:
This is Spooky
Did you swoon when she walked in the door? (M: every time, so be cautious)
Did she moon over other boys? (M: more than moon)
I'm getting nauseus

(Start to tango)

M:
Where did you learn to Tango?

J:
With the French ambassador's daughter in her dorm room at
Mrs. Porters. And you?

J:
With Ninnett Himmelfarb, the Rabbi's daughter at the
Scarsdale Jewish Community Center.

M:
It's hard to do this backwards

J:
You should try it in heels

(Start to tango again)

J:
She cheated

M:
She cheated

J:
Maureen cheated

M:
Fucking cheated

J:
I'm defeated, I should give up right now

M:
Gotta look on the bright side with all of your might

J:
I'd fall for her still anyhow

Both:
When you're dancing her dance
You don't stand a chance
Her grip on romance makes you fall

M:
So you think might as well

J:
Dance the tango to hell

Both:
At least I'll have tango'd at all

Both:
The tango maureen
Gotta dance till your diva is through
You pretend to believe her
Cause in the end you can't leave her
But the end it will come
Still you have to play dumb
Till you're glum, and your bum and turn blue

M:
Why do we love when she's mean?

J:
And she can be so obscene

J:
My Maureen

Both:
The tango Maureen.

I love this song!! Why hasn't anyone posted about it yet?? I've had this song stuck in my head ever since I saw the movie and I think it's awesome! Anyway, the song kinda explains itself. If you saw RENT then you know what it's all about. If you haven't seen it, then go right away! It's so good!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
