his song is soo perfect for real society. It's about this girl, who tries to be something she's not. She dresses and does things to fit in, becuase she is so insecure and ashamed of who she really is.

i love this song! it's so true. i think it's about how people try to hide who they are because they are afraid to show themselves, and then turn around and accuse people who aren't ashamed or scared of being "ugly", not only in the physical sense but also mentally.

is it just me or does the lead singer seem to have a think with insecure girls..he always writes about tem and in the songs he end end up liking themm (shes just the prefect one for me) he does that in other songs too...has anyone else noticed this?

I love this song so much! Sadly, I think it fits me in some ways....I am sorta ashamed of things I have done and thought....but thats like every teenage girl pretty much! And I dont think the lead singer has a thing for insecure girls, rubberduckie....i just think he has ended up falling for alot of insecure girls....which is sorta hard to avoid cause most girls are insecure.

this song reminds me of so many people i know and used to associate with...but now i see their stupid facades...i really can't understand why people live their whole lives without being themselves. ugh. i think that what they're trying to get across is how absolutely fake people can be and how it attracts people at first and then once they try to keep up their image it gets old and boring.

This song practically describes many people I know and associate with. . this band fuckin rocks as well as this song, but pretty girl is my all time favorite :)

This song is about a girl, (who is is insecure about herself, and she tries to perfect herself by wearing make-up and being someone who she is not, but really... underneath it all she is a totally different person. Everytime she looks in the mirror, she sees lies. She thinks she can hide her insecurities, but she can't), aka me..

Obviously a song about how society pressures people (particularly girls) to look and possibly act the same. But when i hear this song i think of the superficcialiality of it, there's no dobut there is a LOT of girls just like this one. One line i wonder if anyone has thought about is "she's just the perfect one for me. ". Something about guy's 'exploiting' the insecurites of people like this? "she's such a bore." - whats more boring than trying to be like everyone else.

Its almost sad how easy it is to understand this , but its a great song!!

A the beginning of this song I hear a radio stuff saying "...Bois de la Cambre...". which is a place in Bruxelles, Belgium. I don't know if there is a link with the lyrics.
