Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor
Never meant that much to her
Vaguely she remembers how she felt
One day she'd paint the world
Her talent finally fulfilled
In every way she ever dreamed it would
But now it seems the dream forgot her
The rent's already one week late and due again
And with her life pencilled before her
She wonders if she'll ever dream again.

These are Dan Jones' most poetic lyrics in my opinion...such a simple song but so perfect. It's fairly straightforward, about a girl whose ability to hope and dream is crushed by the everyday mundane needs she must attend to. Check this band out.
