It's Not Right But It's Okay Lyrics
Then they hung out,but you came home around three
Now if six of ya'll went out
Then four of you were really cheap
'Cause only two of you had dinner
I found your credit card receipt
I'm gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave
And don't you dare come
Running back to me
I'm gonna make it anyway
Close the door behind you
Leave your key
I'd rather be alone than unhappy
The phone rings and then you look at me
(Why'd you turn and look at me)
You said it was one of your friends
Down on 54th Street
So why did 213 show up on your caller ID
So how could you think
That I would stand around
And take some more
Things are gonna change
'Cause I won't be your fool anymore
That's why you have to leave
So don't turn around to see my face
There's no more tears
Left here for you to see
See I'm moving on and I refuse to turn back
See all of this time I thought I had somebody
down for Whitney
It turns out you were making a fool of me
I'm gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave
And don't you dare come
Running back to me
I'm gonna make it anyway
Close the door behind you
Leave your key
I'd rather be alone than unhappy
This is a good song. I like Whitney...she reminds me of someone. And she's also a bit of a legendary icon...respected by thousands of women everywhere. And in this song she totally kicks ass. The song is about a woman finding out that her man has been cheating and she handles it in a very self-controlled, strong way. It's a good song to listen to if you're in this situation. And it's also really catchy, too.
It's about a man who cheats on a woman and she is able to acept it but she thinks its wrong (witch you would) but your ok about it becuse she is strong enough to get over it this is my song just now :)
Haven't listened to Whitney in years. She's so beautiful and gifted with a gorgeous voice. And how musically-talented her family is! I disagree with your interpretation. Don't the lyrics state that she's moving on and not looking back? With regard to her personal life, I wish she had left her husband long before she did; she fell so far down in so many ways.
