There's a boy I know, he's the one I dream of
Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above, mmm-hmm
Oh, I lose control, can't seem to get enough, uh-huh
When I wake from dreaming, tell me, is it really love?

Ooh, how will I know? (don't trust your feelings)
How will I know?
How will I know? (love can be deceiving)
How will I know?

How will I know if he really loves me?
I say a prayer with every heartbeat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you what you know about these things
How will I know if he's thinking of me?
I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak)
Falling in love is so bittersweet
This love is strong, why do I feel weak?

Oh, wake me, I'm shaking
Wish I had you near me now, uh-huh
Said there's no mistaking
What I feel is really love

Ooh, tell me how will I know? (don't trust your feelings)
How will I know?
How will I know? (love can be deceiving)
How will I know?

How will I know if he really loves me?
I say a prayer with every heartbeat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you what you know about these things
How will I know if he's thinking of me?
I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak)
Falling in love is so bittersweet
This love is strong, why do I feel weak?

If he loves me
If he loves me not
If he loves me
Ooh, if he loves me not
Hey, if he loves me
If he loves me not

Oh, how will I know, how will I know?
How will I know?
Hey, how will I know?

Ooh, how will I know if he really loves me?
I say a prayer with every heartbeat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you 'cause you know about these things
How will I know if he's thinking of me?
I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak)
Falling in love is so bittersweet
This love is strong, why do I feel weak?

How will I know? (how will I know?)
How will I know?
How will I know? (I say a prayer)
How will I know?
Ooh, how will I know? (I fall in love)
How will I love, hey, how will I know? (I'm asking you)

Well, I think he's either into you or he isn't. If someone likes you, they'll make it clear and they'll pursue it. There is no game. People play games with people they don't care about or want to care about. It's pretty straight forward but sometimes the truth hurts and we make excuses. I understand that things take time and the more you get to know someone the stronger the connection gets an so on. But in the beginning you shouldn't have to wait by the phone Whit, they'll get a hold of you if they want lol. If they don't there's your answer:(

She still is unsure of how he feels, she doesn't know. He hasn't made it clear. Gave her reassurance or made any plans. She's sick of waiting by the phone for nothing to happen. If he wants her in his life hell have to communicate the good ol fashion way. If not than he obviously doesn't. She wants to marry him but if that's never possible she would settle for SPECIAL friends or even just good friends. She just wants to be part of his life and world like she has made him part of. She's giving him another chance and if he doesn't take it soon she can't promise the opp will always be available. He hurt her. She still tried. She wishes he would be comfortable with her as she is with them. They got along great and it was so easy. That's what doesn't make sense to her. There's no need to have fear. She's made her case. Hopefully she'll know sooner than later

Finally, another song I CAN decipher! Simply put, this girl's in love with a boy but is too shy to tell him.

what a nice dance number. Well i think this song is straight to the point, she wants to know, if he actuall loves her, and isnt just making use of her for the short term.

emm ok, i retract my previous comment, upon actual inspection, this song is indeed about a girl, who is unsure, she definitely likes a guy, but isnt sure how he feels, and she, well, wants to know.

"I fall in love whenever we meet I'm asking you cuz you know about these things How Will i know if he's thinking of me I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak) Falling in love is so bittersweet This love is strong, why do I feel weak? "

dead give away, also describing the first flirtations before a hot , steamy sexual relationship. :D

Not my favorite of her's, but it is still a catchy, spunky tune...just a feel good track due to Whitney's amazing singing ability. Few can take simple lyrics and turn them into a heartfelt tune, but Whitney could. It was one of her God-given gifts.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
