hmm... I know that Gackt's english is pretty awful, so it's hard to tell what he's saying... are you sure about that 'with the venus' part? Anyway, I thought he was saying 'target' at those parts where this lyric says 'die game.' any thoughts?
okay, okay, I feel stupid because it says "die game" right there in the liner notes... anyway...
I was surprised to discover that this song isn't about violence at all... I think... I read a translation in which he said something to the effect of "the writhing venus straddling my face..." which would indicate that the song has a sexual meaning.
Yes yes..Malice Mizer and Gack tend to make sex-related songs..which are awesome =D
i dont think this one is about sex...he really is saying "die game" but if you look at the stage performance for this song the imagery says something other than sex....here's a link if you're interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exIjhspB4z4 -Nemo-
Does anyone know what the, like, girls choir is saying inbetween the japanese lyrics? I'm pretty sure it's in english but I can't find any site that has that part of the song listed in the lyrics.
I agree...wtf do they say I hear alot of diff things each time I listen to it...I even hear at one point some thing..something...I ate him!
Yeah, I'm reasonably certain the girls are speaking english. I heard the phrase "I'll kill you" in there somewhere.
The first part of the chorus is my favorite part but, like all Japanese lyrics, it's difficult to translate right without any pronouns or anything. Something like "I wanted to become the sun. In the starving moon, I thrust a knife to [my] chest and play." The problem is, I have no clue where the phrases start or end, and there aren't any pronouns to figure out who is who. Argh.
ah, This one gets me every time. I feel like breaking my sansa because I can never figure it out. What I keep getting is about murder. Maybe I've just got blood on the brain but i keep hearing "So grandma had to die, But first I'll kill you." Then I hear "There is a bible. No Pains... No gains."
Maybe a holy war...?
So the girls' chorus...hm...what I hear is, and excuse the foul language; "He had to face(?)...-Unclear-...of f***king me. So I ate him. So great of you to die...-Unclear-...s I'll kill you." I have no clue what that's supposed to mean, but that's what I hear. And then the second girls' chorus... "I'm looking for what's lost. From away, I'll kill you if you have it. Hard to survival. No pains, no gains." Again, kind of fuzzy. At least I can hear all of the phrases of this one...good luck!
