Ten Years After – I'd Love to Change the World Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't see it as a liberal or conservative anthem, I see it as a song about political confusion of the youth in this time. Kids were growing up in a confusing and frustrating time, much like they are today, most of the baby boomers were born into traditional families who didn't necessarily see war in a negative light because its what saved them from the great depression, so by time it came to Vietnam many were apathetic or blatantly supported it. Then when the kids got to college they were thrust into this far left environment dominated by the Berkeley mentality. That clash of cultures was a tough thing for kids to handle in choosing what side to take. I think this song expresses that confusion well. The character in the song is torn between wanting to "change the world" and not being able to balance perspective, so they decide apathy is the best choice and leave it to the people who have taken a firm perspective. I could be totally wrong about this, but that's what I always got out of it.

Type O Negative – My Girlfriend's Girlfriend Lyrics 16 years ago
Nothing too deep about this song, I think Type O just needed a more poppy, upbeat, marketable song to release as a single, and they sure did a great job. I love the music video.

Type O Negative – How Could She? Lyrics 16 years ago
Jambo, you hit it on the head, it's definitly about a loser who can't find his own girl so he obsesses over TV girls, but with Peter Steeles sense of humor, I think the chorus "Why don't you love me anymore" is the loser whining because all those shows have been cancelled, he's acting as if all those woman are his ex-girlfriends.

Type O Negative – (We Were) Electrocute Lyrics 16 years ago
I think they're probably talking about themselves, Type O Negative were pretty big there for a while after the success of Bloody Kisses, "has been 1980's suits" might not be referring to suits, but the look of their band, while contemporary bands of the time were wearing flannel, ripped up jeans, Type O were still doing the eighties thing (tight jeans, black leather jackets, long black hair, sunglasses). "Electrocute" might be how they saw themselves. And I think the a lot of the song is Peter Steele talking about his drug abuse and how he kind of destroyed himself with it, in the mid nineties he was a good looking guy, posing in playgirl, after the severe drug abuse through his thirties he wasn't looking too good anymore.
