As Coeur d'Alene is near Myles' home, this song is clearly about him returning to it. The song is about a performer who has to keep pretending to be someone he is not, and through that, has forgotten who he is. He longs for a simple life, not the busy life of performing and being someone else. The chorus is very clear, it is about the man longing to return home, and saying "it won't be long". |

I dont think it has anything to do with a prison as such, but more that he is looking inside of himself and seeing "a thousand faces". He is trying to figure which of the faces he shows is really him. I agree with 4tOutl3mond3 with the "broken mirrors paint the floor" line slightly, in that he is angry of seeing the reflection of what he is and has therefore has smashed the mirrors. However, when it is combined with the "but still reflect the truth" line, i think it means that whatever he does, he cant hide from what he the truth about himself. |

i think its about a break up and she is trying to make him feel as bad as possible, making him feel like the "bad guy" whereas its actually the other way around, "dont cry victim to me". "entitled to overcome" i think is him telling her to get away from him and allow him to overcome what she has done to him. pretty rough analysis but u should get the idea of it |

i think the it is about someone who used to "wallow in" his "feeling" and then one day decides to hide from his pain and do something about it, he asks the women he loves what he needs to do to make her see "there is something more to" him. Its quite brief but i think it covers the main points |

For me, this song is about someone who has always tried to look after a person they love, "I tried to carry you, And make you whole" but despite all of it he feels that he is neglected, "You say you care for me, But hide it well" I feel that the reason he is leaving is because he cant take the situation any longer and must leave to save himself, "It's more than I can take" In the chorus i think he is asking rhetorical questions in a way which says "no one else will do/be there for you as much as i was" That is my interpretation of the song. |
