It's about radical traditionalism. The idea of "riding the tiger" is right out of Julius Evola, and
Between the velvet lies
There's a truth that's hard as steel
The vision never dies
Life's a never ending wheel
sounds exactly like something a radical traditionalist would say. |

We become attached to things to the extent that the things we own begin to own us. Our world becomes centred around the things we own, such that we worship them and hate the products we don't happen to favour. We become so focused on the things we own that we fail to see the hole we're digging ourselves into. See Playstation fans bashing Xbox fans, etc. |

This track is a summary of the whole idea of the album. The other tracks are each examining aspects of this. |

Alternatively, the coming inside her could be about the teachings of the cult coming inside her and being believed by her. She starts to deny her body and herself, which leads to her denying the belief that caused her to deny it in the first place. Either way, there's a theme of hypocrisy and self-contradiction. |

A girl in a cult. She's subservient to the leaders of the cult, who use her for sex, while telling her that material things don't matter. She knows she has to do what they tell her, but she doesn't like it, so she withdraws and becomes quiet. She applies the anti-materialist rhetoric, telling herself it's not really happening. |

The speaker has the tendency to lash out in anger, and in one of these episodes, he killed someone out of rage and revenge. He now regrets this, and is convinced that he's a horrible person who deserves to be punished. |

Seems to be about how it's impossible for two people to really, truly know eachother, despite being very intimate. |

When I read this, I thought of a son who is too attached to his mother. He is metaphorically stuck in her womb, "down in your damp cave". |

Note in Take These Hands...etc, "I got drunk, you got high". And in The Dead Flag Blues by GY!BE, "we're all on so many drugs" (though that could be a reference to the health industry). |

The celebration of masochism and self-destruction. Longing for death and then achieving it, in a very gruesome manner. |

Seems to me that Blaise Bailey Finnegan is talking shit. It's pretty evident he's making stuff up as he goes along, from his tone of voice and inconsistencies. Like he says "I left it at that" twice in the same story, and when he's talking about his guns it's pretty obvious too. There's also the fact that he recites an Iron Maiden song and claims it's his poem, without amending it to be less song-like and more poem-like. |

Big tracks, usually classical pieces, are broken up into movements, which can count as pieces of music by themselves but which are part of a greater whole. |

It's about getting drunk and high with friends, dancing and drinking too much and ending up vomiting. Talking about how great it'd be to have an armed revolution. But then they realise they're not really going to have an armed revolution, that's just a pipe dream, they realise they're getting old and sick and they've achieved nothing in their lives. But in the end they're fine with that, because it's nobler to never get paid than to bank on shit and dismay. |
