| Killswitch Engage – Reckoning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Where the hell do people get the idea of this song being about Obama? | |
| Heaven Shall Burn – Voice of the Voiceless Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It seems like this song has a double meaning. Both the slaughter of animals, and people around the world. There is the animals getting slaughtered for meat, and innocent people dying in wars they have nothing to do with. This song is f'n awesome. | |
| Bad Religion – Sorrow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| What kind of god would create a hell, drown the entire world, order the slaughter of entire communities, and send everyone who didn't believe in him to be tortured for eternity. A tyrannical hypocrite. | |

Source: http://www.punknews.org/article/9447 Well, it’s the story of Job from the Old Testament. Job was the most righteous man in the world. The devil said to God “these people are basically bad” and god said “Well no.” The devil said “Give me one example” and god said “Look at Job, he’s a righteous man.” The devil said that he could corrupt him like any man, and they made a wager. And that was god’s way of rewarding the one righteous man on the planet. That was god turning his back on the one man who was good and righteous. That’s not god, that’s religion. That’s an example of how detestable religion is. What is the lesson there? No matter how good you are, god will turn his back on you? This is the basis for Judaeo-Christian religion? Is it any surprise the world is so screwed up. They say that the story of the Job is the saddest story ever told, so it seemed like the best archetypal story to start a song called “Sorrow” |

| Bad Religion – Atheist Peace Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The word atheist shouldn't even exist. There are no words for people who don't believe in other imaginary things. Ex. aunicornist, aleprechaunist, afairiest Sadly when there's millions of brainwashed people we need a word for the non-brainwashed. | |
| Lamb of God – Blacken The Cursed Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Actually the lyrics for that part are: "Better to die quick, fighting on your feet, Then to live forever, begging on your knees. Begging on your, begging on your, Begging on your knees" I agree religion is childish. |

| Lamb of God – Ruin Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Also in the video the woman in the church had secretly wanted to be a stripper her whole life. Only when LOG opened her eyes to the truth could she be set free to pursue her life long dream. That might not be the exact meaning of that one scene, but i'm sure it's damn close. | |
| Lamb of God – Ruin Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| If the lyrics aren't clear enough the video should be. The only thing I see in the video is them in a church the whole time screaming at people. The one part where he says, "you will one day rise" the guy stands up from the chair slams it and says fuck this bs. With jesus crucified in the background, whose favor these other people are probably seeking. In seeking this they aren't really living for themselves. This is the art of ruining life. | |

| Trivium – Down From The Sky Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Think this is how people use religion to justify their evil actions. There will probably be a damn Jihad some time in the future. The problem is with our technology with one nuke "They'll blow it all to bits To prove whose God wields all the power." It's sad because of someone's stupid faith we are all gonna have to pay. |

| Slayer – Jesus Saves Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| You will find that there is no evidence that Jesus ever existed or that anything in the bible ever happened. I hate when people preach this bullshit, you should listen to your own advice. Slayer is an awesome band though, not for the close minded people though. | |
| Heaven Shall Burn – Numbing the Pain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"Cannot bend down, I would just break I hate myself for playing their game Parents poison their children, never teach them to question If it only wasn't for this certainty in me I am a giant in their tiny world" Seems liked he was raised in a certain religion and wished his parent never poisoned his mind. Never question just rely on faith. I feel the same way wish I had never believed in that BS in the first place. This band is anti-religion for the retarded people who don't understand the lyrics also the band name might give u a hint. |

| Heaven Shall Burn – The Only Turth Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Think this song is about not letting people tell you what to believe in and control you. How your mind can never really be free if you let religion think for you. How religion feeds you what they call the truth even with no evidence at all. How his voice may have gone unheard before but now he is standing up for what he believes is the truth. Proud Atheist :) |

| Completely agree with 22jesus22 and hpdarkman. There are few bands that are willing to write a song like this and not care about losing fans. | |

cwhite4439 wrote: "This song can obviously have different meanings to people. I think that should be encouraged unless of course people think its another anti-religion song. It seriously only shows complete ignorance on their part. I just kind of feel kind of bad for them wondering how many other things they miss out on in their short lives because of there blindness." Cristina Scabbia quotes “I have no interest in organized religion,” “I’m definitely not a believer. All the major religions teach basically the same thing—love one another, respect one another—but hardly any believers practice them. Instead, religion usually brings out the very worst in people. Too many people are providing answers already. We’re more interested in encouraging people to ask questions and find their own way.” Now who's the ignorant and blind one? |

"he's the farmers barren fields the force the army wields the expession in the faces of the starving children the power of the man he's the fuel that drives the clan he's the motive and conscience of the murderer he's the preacher on t.v. the false sincerity the form letter that's written by the big computers he's the nuclear bombs and the kids with no moms and i'm fearful that he's inside me " My favorite part, pretty much sums it up for me right there. |

| A Day to Remember – Why Walk on Water When We've Got Boats Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Great song! It seems to be anti-religion. How someone he knows believes and it's the "saddest thing he's ever seen" That's why he doesn't believe. Also how people use religion to sell records, and try and shove religion in your face. "Why walk on water when we've got boats?", is also a hint. | |
| Lamb of God – Laid to Rest Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Wow Lamb of God a christian band? Didn't know people could be retarded enough to think that. Seriously this song obviously has anti religious lyrics in it, do you just pretend it doesn't so you will like it? "Destroy yourself see who gives a fuck" |
|
| As I Lay Dying – Collision Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Just because they're a christian band doesn't mean every single song is about a god. With that said it's either about a person in his life who he really cares about or it's about his god. | |
| Darkest Hour – Doomsayer (The Beginning Of The End) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

"and who can save you, not their gods and not their masters and who will free you, look in the mirror" That part pretty much sums up how I see things. Great song! |

The right lyrics Oh, you and me, we're the same Asking for more than the numbing existence Offered us all What did they say? What did they do? To make you crawl back in Despite everything that you've been through You're still right where I left you We can lift up our hands to the sky Find all of those strings that they're pulling and keep from falling back Into our old rhythmic poses Turning us into machines And one of these days we'll no longer betray ourselves In any way we won't all look the same way down And one of these days we'll no longer betray ourselves In any way and we'll all take the same way out And all these illusions dropped on a sea of believers Crowding around as they hunt me down And throw me out While all the rest of the others Bang their heads in the dredges [x2] And one of these days we'll no longer betray ourselves In any way we won't all look the same way down And one of these days we'll no longer betray ourselves In any way and we'll all take the same way out So don't give up on me We can be still pretend This is all just a game That'll work itself out in the end "And all these illusions dropped on a sea of believers" |

I agree with throttled, seems like this is a anti-religion song. This is a great song. "Now the wolves become nothing more than sheep." By wolves I think he meant people who follow their own rules, and have there own priorities. People who don't just go along with what people tell them to believe. |
