My only guess is it's about George Bush, and how he lied to the people leading them into a war under false pretenses and making it look like some mission under god. That's what I think anyway.

Mabye a former friend or acquaintance who acted like they were god. Preaching worthless things and such. 'stitches sewn in your eyes' they dont see whats going on 'prophecy now denied' he was wrong about something which caused alot of problems. 'open mouth drawing flies' he wont shut up. 'defending your insignificance' he has a menial place, but makes it seem like he is the most important person.
Someone (their friend) is telling or asking him to say his God is fake. He basically says fuck you, refuses to renounce his faith, and mocks the other person in the process. He sounds fucking pissed as well, which accounts for the crazy way he screams "fake messiah."

The second is that LOG is a self proclaimed anti-religion as an institution band. They are only stating that this friend, has a fake messiah. The speaker is actually Jesus Christ. As His lungs are crushed hanging on the cross, there is a crowd of people yelling at Him, telling Him to say He is a fake. (We all crucified Jesus with our sins). He loves these people. Jesus is trying to make them see that He is God.

Jesus is basically being tortured, and the people are trying to get Him to "confess" that He isn't really God. Jesus remains strong, but He is in pain.
