Unidanslesang- I agree with you for the most part. Another possibility is that it is someone still alive, who just didn't feel the same way about you. You know the type- girls who go out with guys for the hell of it, or a slut. While he does use past tense (meant), he also uses a lot of present tense ("You're going to need me", "You're much too cold..") Of course, the "Your much too cold" line could be Alice Cooper humour for a dead person, but in asong like this, I doubt it. I myself have experiance of what I just said, I guess people interpret songs their own way according to their own pasts. |

| Not much I can add to this, it's all been said. Although I nominate Zorgn as the most stuck up Alice Cooper fan ever. Good lord. | |

| By "neither" of us, in the last post I meant "both". | |

I agree with Morbid. Great song from my favorite Alice Cooper album. I think it's about a murderer who kills prostitutes, hence the line "I keep the city so clean", and the fact that the victim in this song was wearing a tight, black leather skirt. It's also obvious he's completly insane... my friend and I were listening to this in my car once, and when it started on the "It spelled M A R Y... Gail" part, neither of us thought it was weird. His first victim was probably a girlfriend or something called Gail who he had an obsession with, a bit like that Steven King short story about that guy who kills women with a hammer, I think. Such a great song anyway, love the words. |
