Elected Lyrics

I'm your top prime cut of meat, I'm your choice
I wanna be elected
I'm your yankee doodle dandy in a gold Rolls Royce
I wanna be elected
Kids want a savior, don't need a fake
I wanna be elected
We're gonna rock to the rules that I make
I wanna be elected, elected, elected
I never lied to you, I've always been cool
I wanna be elected
I gotta get the vote, and I told you about school
I wanna be elected, elected, elected
Hallelujah, I wanna be elected
Everyone in the United States of America
We're gonna win this one, take the country by storm
We're gonna be elected
You and me together, young and strong
We're gonna be elected, elected, elected
Respected, selected, call collected
I wanna be elected, elected

??? He's singing about how he'd be a better president. Kinda hard to misunderstand IMO.

You are shitting me! This song is a classic and should have a hundred times as many comments. Pretty much what Zorgn said but replace "better" with cooler, more rocking and definatly more popular.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

I want to know more about the words spoken at the end of the song

Cover art for Elected lyrics by Alice Cooper

The words at the end are:

And if I am elected, I promise the formation of a new party, A third party, The WILD PARTY Why do we have problems? We have problems right here in (?San Jose?) We have problems of the North, South, East, and West New York City! St. Louis! Los Angeles! Detroit! Chicago! Everybody has problems And personally, I don't care

You left out Philadelphia!

"And if I am elected I promise the formation of a new party A third party, the Wild Party! I know we have problems, We got problems right here in Central City, We have problems on the North, South, East and West, New York City, Saint Louis, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Everybody has problems, And personally, I don't care."

Not much I can add to this, it's all been said. Although I nominate Zorgn as the most stuck up Alice Cooper fan ever. Good lord.

This is the song that made an Alice Cooper fan out of me, when it came out in 1972 -- just in time for the election (which Richard Nixon won, by the way).
