My guess is this is just em just maturing and looking back at the things that happened in the past. Now no matter where his mom went wrong he wants to move past it. Sometimes as you grow older you have a little more clarity on why things panned out the way they did and I think this is just him telling his mom he still loves her despite everything that happened. Great song off one of his best albums in my opinion. |

Well it's definitely about a relationship. Most likely a poor one. Seems to me like he is talking about a verbally abusive relationship. He is talking about how he just puts up with it because he wants things to work out but the relationship is very up and down. When things first started he was weak and would take anything but as things have gone on he's gaining courage and is going to stand up and get out of it. |

For whatever reason the two aren't on the same page and she's ready to commit but they aren't and then she's hurt. Don't think this has anything to do with suicide. To me it seems pretty simple. It's about facing your own mortality. He knew he was dying and this is just about him accepting the fact that his time was running out.
It's him saying he lived his life to to the fullest and did everything he could. Also telling everyone to go on without him, he would be in a better place soon.

have to pretty much agree with muffin man, just talking all the propaganda you see all over, and and how were constantly being fed so many different peoples ideals and led to believe things that aren't true. Then when he talks about being lead by a mislead generation is just saying like were getting told this and that, only because its what they were told. Too many people just cant have an independent thought, its like an infection or a domino effect and its been going on for so long. Someone needs to do something about it. |

everythin said makes sense but it seems to be quite obvious its about drug addiction and struggling to break dependency and relapse....right away he talks about being sown up and tied to a bed being locked up and thrown to the wolves...a frequent technique used to break someone of a chemical depency...lock ya in a room keep ya in bed an ya go through hell depending on how serious the addiction may be...but ya really have no choice but to come down en get through it all...then i believe he's referring going through relapse an being in denial of addiction and dependency...and how you can't really break it until you come to terms with it and realize you have a problem and that it needs to be fixed and that you need help...but thats jus my take nevertheless great song |
