The first time i heard it I was like WTF? but i kept listening to it cause i liked the lyrics... now i just love the song... it gives u a strange feeling no other song can give you. Out of all bowie songs this is my favourite... and I like everything made by him. To me this song is about a broken man who desperately tries one last time to get the only girl who have ever cared about him in his life. He already knows he is going to fail and get rejected, so he doesent really care if anything happens or not. The "I've lived all over the world, I've left every place" means he has lived many different places and always moved on... and the next song "A new career in a new town" implies that he is going to move again. A really weird song which gives me a strange nothing-matters-feeeling when i listen to it. | |
