Heh... I really highly doubt it's about anything at all. Great song, though. And I love the cameos from David Bowie and The Simple Minds (especially with the line...)

For me 'playing safe' is being a conformist to the society and acting as you're told, not as you want to act :P And yeah, lets be honest, people have it in common :P
