| The Moody Blues – Ride My See-Saw Lyrics
| 17 years ago

John Lodge (who wrote this) was hesitant about joining the Moody Blues due to the fact that he was afraid that it wouldn't go anywhere. He was studying Engineering (I believe), and so he put music on hold for a while to finish up his schooling. Luckily (for us), he eventually returned to the music and, well, here we are.
The whole "trip/seesaw" thing may refer to drugs, but I think it's more of the whole experience of rising stardom.
Ultimately, we don't know, do we? |

One of the best songs EVER. This song, which was in "Strange Times", is so moving, and to truly appreciate it, you have to hear it live. The studio version has much less detail. |

Great song, severely underrated, such as most Moodies songs. I think people should listen to this song and other less-known songs, because in my opinon, they surpass such songs as Nights in White Satin by far. Nights in White Satin is still a great song, but to say it is the best is ignorance. |

This song is not a Moody Blues song. This song is a Justin Hayward solo song. He wrote it with Mickey Feat and Paul Bliss, and it was on his solo album "View From the Hill". It has a beautiful intro, as well as a great ending. |

This song was written in the late 80s. It seems to me that Justin (Hayward) was looking back on the past. The song is implying that he wants to go back to his childhood. |

This song was written by the Blue Jays (Justin Hayward & John Lodge). If you listen to it at night, you will find that you think better. |

This song was written by Justin about his first experiences in London in about 1963. If you listen to it enough, which I have, (about 10 times a day now), you will find that the song really makes you think. |

This song was recorded for Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds" soundtrack. As Justin tells it, he was sitting around one day, and Jeff Wayne, an American record producer living in London, called him. When Justin answered the phone, Jeff asked, "Are you the one who wrote Nights in White Satin?", to which Justin replied, "Yes I did!". As the story goes on, Justin went to Jeff's studio and recorded this song. |
