Haunted Lyrics
I really miss you when the nights are long
And only silence is heard in this world of song
But life goes on
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
I see you walking through the gates of home
And then I wake up to find I'm still all alone.
I should have known
But, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
Lonely is the river
As it tumbles to the ocean.
Searching for our future,
We can't find our way back home.
My only comfort is the love we shared
And, as I walk through this world
With sadness everywhere,
I've had my share,
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
Standing in the doorway
As the sunrise greets the morning,
Searching for our future,
We can't find our way back home.
I really miss you when the nights are long
And only silence is heard in this world of song
But life goes on
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
And only silence is heard in this world of song
But life goes on
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
I see you walking through the gates of home
And then I wake up to find I'm still all alone.
I should have known
But, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
As it tumbles to the ocean.
Searching for our future,
We can't find our way back home.
And, as I walk through this world
With sadness everywhere,
I've had my share,
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.
As the sunrise greets the morning,
Searching for our future,
We can't find our way back home.
And only silence is heard in this world of song
But life goes on
And, forever more,
I'll be haunted by your love.

One of the best songs EVER. This song, which was in "Strange Times", is so moving, and to truly appreciate it, you have to hear it live. The studio version has much less detail.
This song seems to be a continuation of the theme of long lost love (Who Are you Now, and I Know You're Out There Somewhere).
A different sounding song from the Moodies with the du-du-du du-du-du backing vocals and finger snapping. A song that on first listening will make you say WTF? but will grow on you with repeated listenings.
