It's on my copy of Chase This Light too... I love this song, the whole album for me is filled with feel good music, and this is a great final track. Always seems kind of mischievous to me, it's great. I love it. And well, I think the meaning is quite straightforward... |

Getting pretty fucked off with people coming onto a site to discuss Song Meanings, just so they can say "offishly teh worstest lyrics evar!!!1!2!1!" The song's about a coke fiend, and the narrator of the story is saying how she'll do anything for him while he's feeding her lines, and he keeps it up for a while, but then he just gets bored, he can't be fucked anymore. This is the way it is, and it's what happens with coke fiend bitches... No offence. |

| Jack's Mannequin – I'm Ready Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I saw this song as the aftermath of a breakup. Speaking form personal experience, when I broke up with my last girlfriend, the next day when I woke up it felt different. Like I'd just arrived home from a holiday, and I had that sinking feeling, back to the everyday mundane trivialities. That's just what the song meant to me anyway. Jack's Mannequin is fcking awesome :D |

| Oh, and I thought I'd use my double post to say that this/these song(s) are catchy as hell. :) | |
| Jack's Mannequin – MFEO: Part 1: Made for Each Other/Part 2: You Can Breathe Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Personally, I see it like this. We Were Made For Eachother is like, the buzz while on the drugs, and drinking and everything with his friends, and despite things possibly not being so great, the drugs are creating this feeling of euphoria, just happiness while they're all sat there f*cked out their heads. You Can Breathe is what I see as the beginning of the comedown. I don't know if it's what always happens, but with my previous experience of drugs, there was a space between the comedown and the buzz where everything turned to normal before it fell down and went sour. I just look at it like "you can breathe now, but the air is running out" is sort of like "you're having fun now, but wait until the comedown kicks in". Just my interpretation anyway :) |

| Bullet for My Valentine – The End Lyrics | 19 years ago |

A loved one, or girlfriend if you prefer, dies. He's having all these memories as he's committing suicide through an OD of probably painkillers or whatever "there's no more pills to swallow". But still, gotta love this song, reminiscing bout past relationships and whatever, we've all been at 'The End' at some point or another. |

| I love this "song". It's so fuckin' powerful, you can really hear the emotion going through Em when he's screaming out the lyrics. I know I'll probably get called psycho but I seriously enjoyed listening to this song the first time I played through The Marshall Mathers LP and it still makes me smile when it comes on. | |

| Bullet for My Valentine – Hand of Blood Lyrics | 19 years ago |

There goes my valentine again I'm soaked in red for what she said And now she's gone! I think that this pretty much explains it. She said something, and just like in the band name, he shot her. Ie. A Bullet For My Valentine. First heard this song on Need For Speed Most Wanted when I didn't really listen to this sort of music, then I met a girl who really got me into it, Bullet in particular. Love this song though. |

| Shabutie – Star Cecil Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Anybody else think the song lyrics make Claudio sound a bit... Um... Gay? Don't get me wrong I love Coheed & Cambria and Shabutie just as much but it sounds like he's singing to a man... Just a thought. | |

| Coheed and Cambria – Wake Up Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song is amazing, and I'll admit that it actually made me feel like crying when I heard it. Something that I noticed was that there's kind of a swaying note in the background at some parts, which reminds me somewhat of blues music. Reminds me of the first time I shared a bed with my ex girlfriend, she slept with her head on my chest, and in the morning I was scared to breathe in case I woke her up. When she finally did wake up, the first thing we did was kiss... Sigh... But anyway, the lyrics are perfect, the music is perfect. 10/10. |

"You would've ignored my world" Sorry to post again and all but this part sounds to me like he says "You would have endured my will" |

| Coheed and Cambria – Welcome Home Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
First things first- I went off Coheed & Cambria for a while *waits for bricks and glass bottles to be thrown* probably only because I had heard all of their stuff so many times over and tried to work out the sotry so I got bored. Then I think to myself "hmm, Coheed & Cambria, I'm in that sort of mood". So I go to the website and this song blasts out at me, the hair on my arms stand sup on ends and I get goosebumps. I can't help but have this sinister sort of smirk on my face (or perhaps Sinistar? lol) But anyway, on with the story. In my interpretation (no comic books, nothing known for sure). The children were attempted saved from death by being locked under the floorboards (now get in the ground is a reference to this, my other idea on this is that he is cryptically telling Newo to die.) Now, onto Newo. In IKSSE:3, she slept with Al in order to get him to help Claudio, Claudio found out, and left Newo in FHA (to go into hiding), saying he would write when he had sorted his head. Now, in Welcome Home (obvious title) Claudio Killgannon has come from hiding, ready to kick some f*cking ass, and has been met and greeted by Newo. Now, he basically tells her, "Fuck off, I don't need you. You don't love me, you're a slut posing as a girlfriend. I have more important matters to attend to. Leave me alone." Although in the end, as Newo Ikkin walks away from his life, Claudio has a moment of thought, and realises he still loves her, he is thinking of giving them another chance, but realises it is not worth it, and would rather Newo died than be with him again. Now these are just some of my ideas, feel free to throw rocks, point and laugh or burn my house down if that suits you, but this is just my interpretation. |

| Eminem – The Kiss (Skit) Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Ah this explains a little, like in Sing For The Moment, the line "You full of shit too Guerrera/That was a fist that hit you" I was also wondering about the song in the background, unfortunately not on Encore. Oh yeah, and it is Gary and not Dave (jus check the credits for the skit in the book). Anyway, was just looking for the song in the background, and this just convinced me to dig out the album and listen to it, thanks :) |

| Coheed and Cambria – 21:13 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Okay, so going on the whole storyline front, I believe that I read somewhere that all of Claudio's siblings were hidden in a hiding space underneath the floorboards. I think that 21:13 is when the floorboards were torn up (the ground will relieve) and Claudio's brothers and sisters were killed, I'm not entirely sure who by, because a lot of the sources I have read from confuse the point. But I think that Claudio was hidden by Cambria in a different place to the rest of his brothers and sisters (please mom, they're coming for me, please mom, run lock your door) and Claudio falls asleep, knowing that his parents are dead, and yet he dreams of his mother. But I don't really know, I'm having trouble piecing the story together from just the songs ^^ |

If he sold over a million albums in 4 days then he gotta be doin somethin right. Seriously though, why bother to comment if y'all ain't got nothin nice to say? How would you like it if all the 50 Cent fans swarmed your fave artist's page and started putting them down? Anyways, I think bugmenot is right, it's about proving your worth, more than being a pimp. |

| Simple Plan – Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
All good ideas. I think that once again Simple Plan have brought out a simple song that all of their fans can relate to. Right now, I'm going through a lot of hell. My parents are divorcing and I'm caught in the middle, my grades which have always been high before now are slipping, my girlfriend recently split up with me, and a lot of my friends don't seem to like me anymore. All of this put together is actually putting me in a state of depression, I admit, when I heard this song, I did cry, because it is all too much. To me, the chorus is just as I am right now. I've made a lot of mistakes, I'm feeling totally depressed, and it's not possible to run away from that, I sit in my bedroom all night alone, fading slowly to sleep through my depression, and I realise that I'm just fed up with what's going on at the moment, I do actually feel like screaming, and I wonder what I've done to deserve this. I think the first suggestion about somebody injured/dying is pretty fitting too, but this is just what the song actually meant to me personally. |

| Fightstar – Amethyst Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I thought it sounded like Muse at the beginning, and even past that, I think this song is awesome. Kavna got it spot on, I think. I was recently in the situation of thinking I cared more for a girl than she did for me, and eventually I lost her, but basically this song really gels with me now. | |

Extremely disappointed to see that a site supposedly for discussing the meanings of songs has become simply a site to post your comments and bitching, please use the site for what it's for, people... Anwyays, I recently suffered a loss, and I heard this song play out on the radio, and despite hearing it for the first time, it really hit home and I downloaded it immediately. What it seems to mean to me is that the narrator has lost a girlfriend, and he still has really strong feelings for her, he just hopes that they can still be friends at the least, even though he wants so much more than that. I think that the outro is him saying that he loved her, and saying that he thought she knew, but clearly not. Of course, that's just what it means to me, and it might be totally different to somebody else, but I hope to get some feedback. |
