sounds very much like an Aerosmith song.. wonder why.. :p I think the song is great. it's about all the things you've got inside you but never say out loud even though you so badly wish you could. |

ooooo I love this song. not just the lyrics but the melody, and its sound! Makes you feel, hell yeah I've got a couple of toys in the attic but SO WHAT!? to be serious, it's about locking yourself inside your own head. |

I thought this song was called "the girl from the hiring fair"..? anyways, it's a brilliant song. the fretless bass, the violins, the guitars.. all sooo beautifully put together. Not actually a hard song to figure out lyric-wise, though :p |

I think it's awesome! and also, Richie is a great vocalist, and obviously he wrote the song for himself to sing so he's the best singer for it. Jon's voice wouldn't have "the same" soul, but you can't say it's not soulful. Jon has such a soulful voice it's painful to listen to sometimes.. :) |

And STOP complaining about what other people write if it's their opinion and not facts! You can't say "No! that's not what this is about" since a song can mean so many different things to different people.. |

Have you guys heard this song on the One wild Night Live album? It's one of the best live performances I have ever heard! The feeling of it, it just can't be described. So much better than in a studio. Anyone who says that songs can't be better live than on album (mostly people who listen to pop artists who can't sing for real) should hear this. Everyone is just giving it all, Jon sings like a God and Richie's guitar has a sound that would open a mountain. And Tico, Dave and Hugh are fantastic! The lyrics are awesome. Most songs like this are about the way you DO have something to believe in, while this one is about straighten up and pretending that you do. |

I agree it's great, but give some credit to the other guys too. David's piano parts are awesome and Richie can do anything he wants.. his solos just can't fail. Jon's voice is amazing, but the chorus wouldn't be as good without Richie. I'm just sayin'.. |

This is kind of my anthem.. It doesn't matter how down I am, I can't stay still or keep myself from smiling when the intro starts. I've actually tried to keep a natural face at the same time as I listen, but it's too damn hard.. This totally ROCKS! |

It's so cool with bands that write their songs like books, and have special peolpe who come back in many songs. Bon Jovi has Tommy, Gina and Joey. It's like the poems from the 17th-18th century.. |

Yep.. what's greatabout Bon Jovi is that when they do a cover, they do it as a tribute. When George Harrison had died, Bon Jovi did an apperance on VH1 with a beautiful version of here comes the sun. Just Richie and Jon on acoustic guitars. It was amazing |

I think it's named "come back Bon Jovi" 'cause they're one of the bands that radioes don't play anymore. I think it's fine if they don't, 'cause nowadays, you're almost ashamed if a band you like get played on the radio. In the '80's, heavy metal was "popular", so then bands like Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses and Aerosmith were on the radio all the time. Radioes ore so shallow. It's like Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi said: "MTV don't dig us, and we're very relieved.." |

I also have to say: It's so annoying when this is what people associate with when they hear the name Aerosmith. Typical teenage girls that "don't really like Aerotmith but looove that Armageddon song". People that say they like rock music but listnes to bands like Hoobastank or 3 doors down. I mean, come on! d'you think THAT is rock, then you're missing something, girl.. |

Aerosmith does this song great, but you know guys, it's not about Stevens daughter or some personal feelings or anything, cause Aerosmith didn't write the song. It's written by Diane Warren. The movie-people from Armageddon told her to write a ballad for the movie, and then they asked Aerosmith if they wanted to do it. It pisses me off when people say Aerosmith's goin' soft or that they have to ask Diane Warren to write songs for them, cause that means they havn't understood a single thing. The band was given the song, and they were told "this is the song for the movie. You're going to do THIS song or we're going to ask some other band". It's not like they had a saying in picking a song. It's not that they didn't want a guitar solo in it, they weren't alowed to change the song. And of course they wanted to play it, since Liv was starring. Personly I think Aerosmith's songs are so much better when they write them themselves, so I definetely don't think this is their best, you can't even begin to compare this to songs like Sweet Emotion or Walk this Way, or Dream On or any other of their songs. But I do think it would have been a disaster if they had turned it down. Not many bands would have been able to make this song rock. This song with like a pop group or something would just totally suck. It's just so all through romantic and I love you and bla, bla, bla... There are good romantic rock songs, but the lyrics have to be smarter |

It's a great song. To me it seams he wants to say that you shouldn't analyze everything til it breaks. If you worry to much about the past and the future, you end up missing what you have. Eventualy, the answers will come, but don't dig them up before it's time. Though the record according to me doesn't have a single bad song, this is one of the best. |

Completely agree. He is totally underrated, only the guys who have played with him say how amazing he is. He can do Anything on an instrument with strings. When listening so Bon Jovi songs you can shut everything else out and just dissapear in his guitarsound. His solo albums are just simply soft. They are totally different from the Bon Jovi stuff, and as much as I dig Bon Jovi, this fits him perfectly. |

C-Pac: Dude! Warrant has copied EVERYTHING from Bon Jovi! Same with almost all the other bands from the 80s. They all wanted to be like Bon Jovi, but no one pulled it off. Winger, Warrant, Europe, you name it. Europe's guitarrist played his solos on Gibson, but used strat. in the videos 'cause he wanted to be like Richie. And dude, warrant? "She's my Cherry Pie..."? |

Guys, this song is about Jon and Dorothea. If you didn't know, Jon wasn't exactly the perfedt boyfriend there for a while. Then he matured, felt terrible for how he'd lived the rock n' roll lifestyle, and wanted to tell her he's sorry, and that he loves only her. |

How come almost no one's written anythin' on this song?! It's fantastic. The record gets SO much less attention than it deserves too. Come on! SwiSS_StinkS! Bon Jovi is a BAND! Not a person! It's a person too, but all these songs, they all recorded as a BAND! It just pisses me of when people talk about the band as if it was a person. Like when I say I dig BON JOVI, someone says: Yeah, I like him too. Don't get me wrong, Jon is
awesomely talanted in music, but he doesn't do it alone you know. When I first heard someone call Bon Jovi "him" I didn't get that upset, I just simply said it was a band, but now I've hear it so often I'm like What the Fuck!
The band ROCKS, by the way. The way they're all so great at what they're doing. Richie could play with anything and anyone, and have you heard his voice?! Some goes for everyone else in the band too. Listen to Tico sing "Crazy" or "Waltzing Mathilda" and you'll know what I mean.
Great that there isn't any word-limitation on this page = )
