Songs can mean whatever you want them to. If you can find a meaning thats important to you, then let it be and share it in a way that doesnt bash everyone else. I find to be disturbingly ironic that every "Christian" that I have run into on this site, is calling someone names or having a very close-mind. So if you are one of the ones the says they love Jesus out there, you might want to try not bashing people. I don't think Jesus ever did that. |

Hey NakedTruth guy, where did ya find that out? I'm not asking this in a sarcastic "who do you think you are" kinda vocie. I actaully want to know, cause I've been searching everywhere I could never find what their true beliefs are. Anyways, I also jsut wanted to say, that no matter what a bands spirtual beliefs are, just as long as I see it as good music, I'll listen to it. I dont like it when people that say they are "Christians" and condem all other forms of music. Like with Guster, if they are Jewish people in a band, I'm not gonna stop listening to them for that reason. I, as a Christian, obvisouly found meaning in one of their songs. So if I can find meaning in a song, whether it was the intended meaning or not, and it can go along with my beliefs, its all good. Ok, I'm done ranting. Haha. Later yo |

Well, this song was played on a retreat I went on and agree with all of you about the meaning, but one thing I find cool, is that the parachute could be God. To me it fits, and thats what I like to think it means, or thats my own personal meaning I've given it. For Christians, it can really be a boost knowing that when we got out on the limb, God is there to ease us and to help us out. Now please dont go off saying that I'm wrong or anything, cause I might be wrong based on what the band says. I jsut thought I would share it with you people. Ok, I'm done. |
